Good morning! ... here we go on another week ... the heat remains oppressive and TheChimp has had to suspend all triathlon activities ...:biggrin2: ... I've been up and down this week and will weigh in tomorrow and hopefully show a loss ... hope everyone has had a good week ... SuperBob and I are sharing the thread management by alternating month to month ... peace out:cool2:

Superbob, the amazing and stellar...

Defender of Truth, Justice, and the American Way....

Rescuer of damsels in distress...

Maker of endless Pop-Pop Pancakes stacked high...

Master of the Workout Room and guardian of the Hawaiian Tropic-lathered pool....

Superbob has lost two pounds this week.

After 2 weeks feeling like a blimp from my little vacation, I'm finally back in a reasonable range, though still higher than I want to be:
current weight 134.5
WW goal: 132
personal goal: 129

Just in time for them to pump me full of saline during surgery. Needless to say, I WON'T be posting my weight next week!

Laurie,

You've done great with your weight goal -- and you are such a stalwart with the Throwdown, it's been easy (for me at least) to lose sight of the fact that your AVR is coming up -- next Wednesday, wow! Needless to say, the executive board of the TD will award you a mulligan -- in fact a whole pack of them -- along with all best wishes for a successful surgery and a smooth recovery!

Laurie, you are doing great and as SB said you get all the free passes you need ... we will have you in our prayers ... good job Pop-Pop ... um, I mean SuperBob:biggrin2:

How could you forget? I'm neurotically reminding people on a daily basis! <snicker>

Thanks for the good wishes!
I'll check in periodically until some time Tuesday, I'm sure.

Congratulations, Superbob. Losing two pounds is a difficult feat to accomplish when you are the pop pop pancake maker extraordinaire.

Laurie, maybe you should post your first post-surgery weight (boy do I remember that . . . woke me up 18 hours after surgery? and made me stand on those stupid scales . . . ) and then you can post the biggest weekly loss any of us have ever had the following week. Awful way to claim Throwdown fame, but hey, what the heck! Seriously, everyone's thoughts and prayers are with you before, during, and after the replacement.

To beat the heat, I left home at 5:30 am to get groceries. So, no lasix, no scale weighing. I'll try it tomorrow. . . . maybe.

I'm up 1.5 pounds today ... it is what it is and could have been worse ... I found a stash of jelly beans ... enough said:biggrin2:

Starting Weight: 233
Last Week: 197.5
This Week: 199

Mr. Chimp, 1.5 is a mere blip -- akin to staying the same.

However, reading your numbers == 197.5 last week, 190 this week, it looks like you lost 7.5 pounds. Or does The Chimp use the New Math?

OK fellow throwdowners - the fat blasting week is coming to an end and I did so good I cannot believe it myself. Probably because I've been sick and my appetitie is off!! I'm down 3.2 this week. I'll actuall.y post numbers now that I made it back below 200 - that was a stickler for me for some reason. Just didn't want to see it in print.

This Week: 198.2
Last Week : 201.4
Loss: 3.2
Total loss: 25.8

I'm almost down to my St. Patty's day weight- arrrgh. That sounds depressing!

So - I can lose weight when I have my surgery?? I believe I've read that before but didn't really snap to it until the Duffmeister brought it up. Well at least there is one benefit from going through it - besides the other obvious one of staying alive and kicking. I have avoided other forums on this site for awhile now - just because it makes me anxious. When the cardio/surgeon say it's time - I'll be reading everything I can get my hands on In the meantime I figure why stir myself up.

Laurie you are certainly in my thoughts and prayers and I will make an exception to my normal rule and check in on the post -surgery forum to see how you are doing so post as soon as your are able. Here is wishing you an uneventful surgery and a speedy recovery!!

To the rest of you Throwdowners - hang in there. SB you did great!! Cooker - you will bounce back.. - downwards that is. We just have to keep trying - because at least then we are keeping things pretty well in check. At least we know where we are and what we need to do about it.

I have my 6 month echo next week (same day as Laurie's surgery) so I'm curious what that is going to say - won't meet with cardio until a week later. I have noticed a lot more thumps bumps and flutters lately and I'm soooo tired. That could all be due to stress and overwork though. Maybe my cardio will write me a note saying it isn't good for me to work more than 40hrs a week! That'd be nice, except I'd feel guilty for not pulling my weight (no pun intended) - but at least I'd have an excuse. OK - I digress....

Y'all keep up the good work now ya hear?

Am I allowed to use kilograms?

This Week: 85.4kg
Last Week : 85.5kg
Loss: 0.1kg
Total loss: 19.1kg:smile2:

I know that the consensus is....heck yeah, we'd love to have you! Welcome! Use what ever measurement you want. Don't be offended if some of us have no clue what your numbers mean. I have a suspicion that losing 19.1 kg is a pretty good thing.

Yes indeedy! We are happy to have you - metric system or not (We Americans could just never get the hang of it...) . By my calcualtor 19.1 kg = 42.11 pounds and that is amazing!!! Welcome aboard - we could use some new blood (so to speak..).

Thowdowners I was absolutely horrible over the weekend. You can take back your congratulations and I deserve 50 lashes with a wet noodle - any volunteers?

I believe honestly I felt entitled for having done so well. Now isn't that the height of hyporcrisy - to reward your weight loss with food!? Hopefully I can get it off again before my official weigh in on Friday. I'm back being good cause it's Monday! :D Story of my life.

Wise you are a hoot - or a coot - or whatever! Up one and happy about it!! Just glad to see you made it this week. You too Mary!

Keep it up y'all!!
