We ate Mexican tonight. Not exactly lite. Not the worst possible either (AKA Fettuccine Alfredo). Not the best possible (AKA Lettuce). Just possible (AKA what we darned well felt like doing). ; )

Superbob, you can't disappear for long. Remember we can see you when you're flying. I understand what you mean, but hey you're one of the legs on the table of this Throwdown and we gots to keep it standing upright. Goodness knows that all of us are not always upright!

Well, I must say everything that's going on is making my head spin, and I think I am going to take a break from heart forums for a while. I don't think I really have anything to contribute anymore. If I have to have a re-op someday, no doubt I will come crawling back -- where exactly, I don't know....

Get on the bike overlooking the pool ... relax and take in the scenery ... look past the bull manure, there will always be some hitting the fan ... and anyway blackberry cobbler cures all ill moods:thumbup:

I love banana cake!

weighed in this morning:

This Week: 83.7kg
Last Week : 84.4kg
Loss: 0.7kg
Total loss: 19.8kg:cool:

Better start planning my -20kg party

See what I mean Scott - always the talk of food - banana pudding, peach cobbler - its enough to drive a girl to eat! I am afraid of the scales this week too - I fear I've gained - I'll be happy if it reads the same. I have out of town Company this weekend and here I was ready to just let loose and eat whatever I wanted - maybe even some banana pudding!! Turns out she is dieting! I can't hardly pig out in front of her now can I? I'm glad she is keeping me on the straight and narrow as I see the cardio on Monday and don't want to go in 5 lbs up and all bloated.

My thoughts go to Laurie too - She'll definitely be at her goal when she gets out of there!

OK Throwdowners - keep it up and SB - keep your cool. Life is full of changes - you just gotta go with the flow. I'll post tomorrow if I can - I'll definitely weigh good or bad.

See what I mean Scott -

OK I'm up again ... only 1.5 pounds but still up ... I have started walking so I hope to get with the program and stay with it ... I walked three miles last night and am off on another walk this morning so maybe just maybe I will head in the right direction ... exercise is really the key for me and I have not walked with any consistency for a long time ... great job to all who have lost or stayed the same!!!!

Starting Weight: 233
Last Week: 199
This Week: 200.5

Good going on the walk, Cooker. You will feel better no matter how the exercise affects your weight.

I'm down a half of a pound. It's not much, but I'm happy just to have a loss.

I hope everyone else has a great weigh-in.:smile2:

Last week: 159
This week: 158.5
Loss: .5 pound

Okay, okay, I am out of my moody funk (you knew I would be, didn't you?)...what is the medical syndrome for someone like me who has such mood swings?

Anyway, whatever will be, will be, the future's not ours to see. Que sera, sera.

But I ain't got nowhere near a set of scales today.:p

Congrats to Scott, our New Zealand phenom, and to Cooker for walking (HOW THE H DID YOU DO THAT THIS MORNING? Can hardly breathe out there. Superdawg wanted no part of a walk this morning.) And best to all. Duffey, good goin'! How you all put up with me is something I'll never understand, but there is a lot I don't understand. Oh well...

Just take a look around this Throwdown and you should be able to understand how we're able to "put up with" you. In other words, you're in very good company. Maybe our Throwdown theme song should be "Moody's Mood for [food]"?

I was remiss in not congratulating Scott earlier on his great loss. Good going, Scott!:smile2::thumbup:

Glad to see you post, SB.

Wise, are you and Cindy going to WW tomorrow?

Just read where the site is going down for routine maintenance; so no, the sky is NOT falling.:rolleyes2:

Boy do I second that emotion! And I agree with Bina - glad to have you back SB!

Well, I am not happy - I did gain and even more than I think I deserved. C'est la Vie! At least I didn't completely erase last week's loss.

Good job on the walking Cooker - that is so hard to keep going - especially outside in the heat. I only made one 2 mile walk this week and i walk in an air conditioned mall. (I'm using work as my excuse - but I could do it if I tried harder!) Today though I swear I walked 10 miles all over the IKEA store in town and came out a little lighter - in the pocketbook anyway. Walked out with a frozen yogurt in hand - non- fat at least.

Way to go Yo- Yo Queen!

Here's the bad news -read it and weep.. :thumbd:
This Week: 200.8
Last Week : 198.2
Gain: 2.6
Total loss: 23.2

Can I weigh in kilograms too Scott? Sounds much better!

Duff, we are not going to WW this morning. In a nutshell, we are moving yet again, this time to a condo that fits what we've wanted to find. So, since our move is Monday, we're still busy with all of the stuff that goes with it. We've sold our fridge and washer and dryer. The fridge is being picked up today, so we need to empty it this morning. We have lots and lots yet to get done but have friends who have been a big help. I weighed this morning and was up 1.8 from last week. Forgive us for our recent lapses; we will get totally back on track soon, I promise.

Good luck with your move, Wise and Cindy. Congrats to all who have had the courage to check and post a gain. As for Superbob he is going to take a mulligan this week. Give me no Chimp lip Mr. Chimp, or I'll give you a fat lip. :p We have had family visiting the past 3 weeks. My weigh-in room is in the visting granddaughter's quarters. We have both grandmothers competing to cook the most yummy confection -- one night blackberry cobbler, the next carrot cake. Besides making pancakes every morning, SB has to take the young'uns to beach sites where food beckons. (P.F. Chang was in play, as was Italian.) All that and the weather has been so grisly that Superdawg has been willing only a few times to stretch out a walk. Nor has SB had time to go to the workout room.

The visits end Tuesday. SB expects a weight gain next Friday but so as not to destroy his morale he would like those few days to get back into a routine and reduce the damage. Okay, these are his excuses. The Man of Steel is weak. What can I say?:p

We throw no stones in the Chimp's glass house. I hope you've been able to enjoy their visit SB, and I'm confident you will get back in the groove once your routine is re-established.

Wise, no way/weigh would I try to hit WW today. Congratulations on finding the place you've been searching for.

Rhena, next week will be a better week.

Thanks. I thought I had a bad week. Pizza 1 night, McDonalds another. Guess I was pretty good the rest of the week though.

Of course. Any thime you want to use the superior metric system you can. ;)

Hey throwdowners,

I've done my best to cajole a long time VR member into joining our Throwdown fun and mayhem. She promised she would join us. If she doesn't show up in the next 24 hours, feel free to send pm's and pester her. I'll take the blame.
I'll give you a hint as to her identity.
She loves vacationing in the U.S.
Any guesses?
