Hello Thowdowners, and welcome to another week of monitoring weight and commiserating.

We went to a Mended Hearts night at the Myrtle Beach Pelicans game last night (good guys won in 13 innings) and had a fun time. My eating, though, was pretty much a disaster -- not a veggie in sight all day. Today is salad therapy day.

As I write this, Superdawg (pictured in avatar thinking cool thoughts) is sprawled at my feet showing no signs she wants to venture out into this heat advisory day and take the usual walk. She is no dumb dawg. SB, though, desperately needs exercise, so guess he will work out in air-conditioned neighborhood workout room, and then maybe hit the pool around sunset. Superbob can feel the calories having a cumulative effect. Just trying to hang on 'til fall when we can take pleasant walks again instead of feeling like we are on a death march in the jungle.

Looking forward to hearing from all the Throwdowners this week. I will weigh tomorrow or maybe Saturday.

I am present and accounted for.

BUT, I think I will weigh tomorrow. I left the house early this morning, trying to beat the heat, and came home and had breakfast before considering my date with the scales.

We also have a heat advisory . . . 110 forecast between the temps and the humidity. I have to go out one more time today, and I hope that's the last time. Too hard on this old bod.

I'm down 4.5 and still on track. I usually go nuts after the weigh in but I am determined to stay within my WW points. The extra weight and heat have really let me know I need to take better care of myself and if I don't start now, well who knows. I have had no processed sugar this week, snacking only on fruits and nuts ... sounds like a chimps intended diet:rolleyes2: ... might work ... peace:smile2:

Whew! Superbob just exercised in a workout room filled entirely with hot young chicks. (And by "hot" SB is not referring to the weather). Meanwhile a steady parade of bikinis went by just outside the window. Superbob thought he had done died and somehow gone to Heaven (perhaps through a clerical error by Saint Peter). :p SB is going to be sore because he didn't want to stop exercising.

Okay now a thunderstorm is in the horizon --- hot, hot, hot! Maybe SB should strip and go runnin' out in the rain. ;)

SuperBob, yes I remember the very cool yo-yo tricks, but I could never do them. The girlies were into skipping rope (double dutch), those Footsie jumping things, some Hopscotch, etc. Simple toys, simply fun.

Green with envy I am:thumbup:

Well if hot chicks help melt the pounds away - I'm going to go looking for a place with lots of hot lookin' dudes!!;)

Not wanting to mess up the order of the universe - I'll post here some stuff from what I just read on last weeks thread. First off - that was quite a trip you took Cooker - did you catch anything? (that swims I mean!). I want to congratulate you on starting on WW. It is a good program and it looks to me like next week you'll be back under 200 if you stick to it as you are determined to do. I'm trying to get back there myself. Why do we sabotage ourselves this way. Yo-yoing is definitely not the way to go.

I also think we are two peas in a pod when it comes to dieting. I'm either very very good or very very bad. There is no middle ground. I can't have just one cookie - I have to consume mass quantaties. I shouldn't have used the 'd' word. WW says it isn't a diet - it is a lifestyle!

I'll report in tomorrow. I think I'll be about the same as the week before... I'm seeing a pattern here. Given how much I was up after the weekend - I'll be happy with that.

Manyana :cool2:
