Okay, Throwdowners, The Chimp has gone fishin' and you're stuck with the boring Man of Steel again. This is the start of another Throwdown Week. Summer seems to have slowed many of us down; hope to hear from all of you this week.

Superbob doesn't like what he sees on the scales this morning, so he will officially weigh in tomorrow. Won't go through all the excuses (it's hot, comfort food beckons, etc etc etc) but summer is tough. Personally Superbob looks forward to cool, crisp fall when he can actually leap two buildings in a single bound instead of being limited to one....

Hang in there, and let us hear from you! Cheerio!

I understand about the leaping only one building thing. I'm not sure I can mow one yard. I may not even be able to leap over the mower (actually probably not).

We've had too many opportunities for comfort food ourselves. I KNOW that Saturdays' weigh-in for us will not yield a happy happy result for either us. We'll have to take the lumps since we've had too much sugar, spice and everything not nice to the waistline. There's always a new week in which to start fresh!!!

Good luck SB and the Throwdowners. Chimp and Mrs. Chimp, put down that whole block of cheese...just a little dab'll do ya. hehe.

I haven't weighed in, I've thought about it, but haven't done it. I guess I'll give it a try tomorrow morning.

I've also been thinking about Chimp and cheese. Having spent more than 50+ years vacationing in the Dairyland state, I believe that if Cooker is true to form, it will take a jugful of prune juice to undo, or unbind, what wheels of cheese will have wrought.

Anxiously awaiting his return, to hear his tale . . . .

I'm up one pound from last week, which puts me at 134 this morning.
WW goal is 132
MY goal is 129.
so I am +2 to +5 however you want to count it.

But I'm not exercising much these days, and my eating filter seems to be missing, too.
Oh yeah, stress and the I don't give a hoot button are at play here.

Of course, Xanax has no calories, unlike alcohol. Which should I have tonight??

Gee, Laurie, that a hard one to answer. I guess you should just go with whichever one you want to go with. Might as well live it up!

Well, needless to say I am NOT weighing in this week ... just pulled in and had time to shake the dust off ... had a wonderful trip ... ATE all I could at every stop and we always travel with primo snacks:biggrin2: ... on second thought I may weigh in tomorrow for truth, honor and the American way ... not to mention that my gargantuan gain will make all of you feel better:tongue2:

The Chimp is no dumb bunny -- he knows the more of a vacation gain he shows, the bigger loss he can post upon his return next week, especially after imbibing the therapeutic nectars of sweet Carolina. :p S

Laurie, just don't do both! I think you are doing great so close to your surgery date. Sorry I've been so absent lately. Seems all I have time for anymore is work, house chores and sleep leaving little time for me. Oh yeah - did I forget to mention eating? This is always when I go astray because I don't carve out time for me. Gotta make a change there and put myself and my health first. Anyway, at the moment on top of it all, I have a house full of sleeping women. Calm yourself SuperBob!;). They are my 'girl' cousins (at least we all used to be ) and they are all taken, but left the hubbies and kids at home. We get together every year at my house - 3rd weekend in July. Needless to say margaritas and food and a whole lot of 'dishing' going on - East Texas style.

It's always good to catch-up with everyone, but one of my cousins made the family favorite blueberry concotion - it doens't have a name other than Aunt Colleen's blueberry dessert. It is heavenly with crumbley things and whipped cream and nuts and good gooey stuff. Who could resist.

I did get on the scale today. It wasn't pretty. I didn't gain but it still wasn't pretty. Sounds like everyone is struggling. We just need to redouble our efforts.

Now if you don't hear from me for a little bit don't take it personally SB. I'm just really, really busy! However, should too much time pass someone PM me with a swift kick in the a$$! I'm not going to let myself off the hook.

Wise - hope tomorrow is better than you think it will be. Sometimes you can be surprised. Everybody else- keep on tryin' ! I just have to get through this crazy weekend and then it's back to my lifestyle.

Later losers...:cool2:

I'm dashed:tongue2: ... Its not as bad as I thought ... up only 4 pounds for the week and I will blame it on Sonny's BBQ, The Hen House Diner, The Little House Of Pancakes (Wise and Cindy:tongue2:) ... I could go on and on ... looking for a downward trend with no excuses:smile2:

Starting Weight: 233
Last Week: 201
This Week: 205

In my book, gaining four pounds is a victory after you've been to cheese land, had delicious BBQ and apparently took a little turn toward our favorite pancake house. Do I see blueberries on your chin?

Okay, so we didn't go to the WW meeting this morning. Cindy is going with girlfriends to tour a winery, then we're meeting in Frankfort to eat at the world's best Chinese restaurant (China Wok, not a chain, not a buffet, good old fashioned home cooked Chinese ; ) ) , then we're going to visit with the grandbaby Ethan and his daddy and Cindy's Mom. So, yes, I'm tip toeing around the weigh-in thing. We weighed at home. I was up .9 at a weight of 170.1 and Cindy, like Elvis, said "I really don't want to know."

Superbob has now made pancakes for the grand urchins 72 straight days. Okay, not quite that, but it seems like it. When they rap on the door, Superdawg serves as a very loud alarm clock to ensure that I get out of bed, if I'm not already up. All well and good, but every chef must test the food, so SB has eaten pancakes for 72 straight days, or thereabouts. That makes it very hard to be a loser in a throwdown or even a non-gainer.Guess SB will have to get off his keister and walk SD before the temp hits 100 and try to melt some off....
