Greetings, Throwdowners! Superbob wishes to announce that to celebrate his slimness and trimness he is attaching below a photo of himself in his Speedo on the beach.....

April Fools! :p Ain't no way! :p

Okay, Superbob is starting the thread this Thursday for the benefit of our dear Aussie friends and any others who would like to post progress early. As for The Man of Steel, he will wait til tomorrow to step on the scales.

Superbob at least feels lighter -- having finally sold his Virginia home just 2 days short of one full year since putting it on the market. In addition to dealing with all that mortgage debt and extra electric bills etc, he had to pay a yard guy, a painter, a handyman, and a heat-pump repair company over the past 12 months. Worked harder than an old semi-retired guy wants in order to pull it off. Now can feel like we really have settled down for good and can concentrate on bikini patrolling with Superdawg. :p

OKay, enough about Superbob. Here is wishing a glorious Easter to all. Hope you all are making the progress you want with the Throwdown or at least hanging in there with us (like a Chimp swinging through the jungles)....

We're not only saved by the man of steel but by April Fool's Day also!

Now we know that for the past two years you have been not only the man of steel, but the man of steel, timber, dry wall, possibly brick, concrete, etc. Now that you less of a load to support, you can be simple the man of steel. So glad you sold your house. I know that is a burden lifted. We will weigh on Saturday morning. Good luck tomorrow morning and you might weigh less without the speedo. ; )

Okay, it looks like Superbob is going to be doing well to just stay the same this week. Blame it on stress. :) Race to July 4 is going to be more challenging for me than the Race to Saint Paddy's Day was. Hope the Diabetes Management class SB and Mrs. SB start taking next week will help with motivation and ideas that can yield further progress....

Remember this is just one week. Besides, you had pop pop pancake duty this week!

Well I weighed this morning:mad:

Maybe it will look better tomorrow Cooker. That's what I'm hoping for me too! Sometimes this is soooo hard and I am teetering on the edge of a binge. I'm not really hungry, yet I feel this overwhelming urge to pig out. Gotta stop myself.

Glad you sold your house pop pop! Now you can Race for the RW&B!

I'll post tomorrow - but I'm sleeping in so will be later. Yeah for Good Friday holiday from work! :D

Last week, 189 ... this week, 192 ... up three pounds....

Come on, Mr. Chimp: You are below 200 pounds! Superbob hasn't been below 200 since the 7th grade. Maybe you have reached your set point (I think I read that term somewhere) -- right around your ideal weight. Celebration -- have a Cadbury Easter egg!

As for Superbob, he has managed to stay the same for a second consecutive week. Not very inspiring leadership from the defender of Truth, Justice, and the American Way  ... but something of an accomplishment to do that while fixing/eating pancakes with grandkiddies for a week. :)

Happy Easter everyone!

My bad, I forgot to weigh this morning. My 17 year old kitty cat blew an anal gland last night (3rd time in 12 months), and I had to run him to the vet first thing for treatment. Poor boy's got early kidney failure, and probably won't be able to have surgery to remove the glands to prevent this happening again. He'll be fine after some antibiotics and clean up, but he'll probably have to have preventative treatment under sedation every few months to prevent another round. Poor kitty. Old age sucks.

Skipping weigh in won't help, no matter what the excuse. We went out to celebrate some friends' new field titles on their retrievers on Sunday, at Babe's Chicken Dinner House...CFS, potatos, gravy, biscuits with sorgum, I'm still trying to get rid of the calories, salt & fat from that binge. As of yesterday I'm up 2.5 lbs from Sunday morning, which shows just how bad and long lasting that binge was! And I didn't exercise much at all this week, either. Still at WW goal of 132, however.

Congratulations on the sale of your house, SB! Fantabulous!

I stayed the same for the week, so no complaints from me.
Last week: 157
This week: 157

Easter Sunday may be a struggle since we're having a big lunch, and there will be candy in the grandkids' baskets to pilfer through. Well, maybe. Haley gave candy up for Lent, so she is eagerly anticipating Easter candy. I might have to use my powers of stealth and deception to sneak any away from her.

Good job, Duffster! Superbob will lend you his powers of stealth and perception to enable you to sneak those Easter goodies. Save some for eating while cheering on the Redbirds to an Opening Day win!

Not to worry, Laurie, sure you will be back on track soon. Sorry about the kitty cat's difficulties.

Laurie, sending best wishes out to your senior kitty.

Well darn I was really really good with my eating this week and only have .4 loss to show for that. Oh well maybe next week will be better. I had cake today but after I weighed. Easter is going to be a tough go for me with two grandkids Easter baskets.

Cooker I think next week will be better for you and remember to look at your total weight loss and not only this week.

SuperBob and Duffey congratulations on staying the same.

Marie, At four-tenths of a pound, you are the leader of the pack this week so far. :D Good going!
Yikes, I have two grandkids next door who will have their Easter baskets brimming, too. Good thing my DW is a chocoholic -- she'll pilfer most of the edible bunnies. :p

Good job Earline! Duffey and Superbob, staying the same is a good thing!

Here's our weigh-in:

CINDY:

Starting Weight: 140.8
Last Week: 136.4
This Week: 134.8
Loss: -1.6
Total Loss: 6

WISE:

Starting Weight: 194.2
Last Week: 178.4
This Week: 175.8
Loss: -2.6
Total Loss: 18.4

We both had a good week and intend to continue a downward trend this coming week.

Combined with my weight loss just before joining WW, I've lost almost 25 pounds since September 2009. I'm pleased. We have been eating more natural food and some organic. I believe this has helped budge the scale. Not having as much processed food has also helped me feel better; I don't think me and unpronounceable chemical ingredients mix well. ; )
