Gentleman,

My present to you. . . . a virtual, Great Pumpkin Race cake recipe. Enjoy!:smile2:

Candy Bar Cake

10 fun-size Milky Way bars
10 fun-size 3 Musketeers bars
10 fun-size Snicker bars
1 ½ sticks butter, divided
2 cups flour
½ tsp baking soda
½ tsp baking powder
1 cup sugar
½ cup shortening
3 eggs
1 cup buttermilk
1 tsp vanilla
40-45 marshmallows
15 fun-size Almond Joy bars
1 pound powdered sugar
¼ cup cocoa
¾ cup cream
Cut Milk Way, Three Musketeers and Snickers bars into small pieces and melt together with 1 stick of butter, stirring to combine. Combine flour, baking soda, baking powder, and sugar. Mix in shortening and eggs and beat well. Slowly add buttermilk, beating until fluffy. Beat in vanilla and candy bar mixture. Pour into greased and floured 9x13 inch pan and bake at 325 degrees for 50-60 minutes until cake tests done. While cake is still warm, cut marshmallows in half and place over top of cake. Cut Almond Joy bars into small pieces and scatter over top of marshmallows. Beat together powdered sugar, cocoa, cream and remaining ½ stick butter until smooth. Spread over cake and serve.

The Diabetic Delight! :p I found out that one of those tiny fun-sized Snickers has just 40 calories in it, which means you could eat 100 and only take in 4,000 calories. (And I may have done so by now, so I don't have the ingredients for my Diabetic Delight cake.

You mean we girlies lost......waaaaaaaaaah..:biggrin2:

Rhena ~ I cannot imagine what you're going through with the toofie terribles! Nothing is quite as debilitating and miserable as sea sickness..:frown2: Hope you're on the road to recovery now and don't worry about the spreadsheet. It'll get done when it gets done!

And what's up with Superbob's toofie too..:eek2:

And Cooker ~ we've still got Halloween candy left.....peanut M&M's and I'm sick of 'em..:biggrin2:

And Mary ~ gonna take a pass on that cake since I've downed loads of M&M's and can't even look at chocolate..

...to be continued

It's for real. There was an accompanying photo of the cake in the newspaper, and it did look delicious. I don't really care for candy bars, but knowing that Cooker is the King of Candy, I thought that I could be magnanimous in defeat.:wink2::angel:
