I probably should wait until my second pot of coffee before I start this thread but I have a lunch date today and I wanted to post so I could feast on pasta, bread and cannoli:biggrin2::thumbup:

We have had a good race and whichever team wins we have had fun and shed a few pounds which is what the Throwdown is all about ... I'm guessing we will have the final results Sunday since some member weigh Saturday....

My personal goal is to heal up from my fall, get back to walking and maintain my current weight through the end of the year!!!

Thanks to all who continue to take part in the Throwdown ... to any lurkers please join the fun, you won't regret it!

You've done well for your team, Chimp. I will weigh in tomorrow; I'm down but hope to lose a little more. By the way, your owner/trainer looks like too nice a guy to have a monkey like you in his possession.:wink2:

I'll weigh in tomorrow, too, to make sure I continue to behave today....I'm having a small piece of homemade lasagna for lunch, so I have to be frugal with dinner!

Weigh in will keep me away from the office candy dish one more day.

And I will check in on Saturday since we had a Margherita pizza and a couple of beers last night...:redface2: Sure was good though... and a lot better 'n that dang baseball game..:mad2:

Poor SuperBob ~ I really feel for you so how about sucking down a few of those Dairy Queen shakes in every flavor to keep your strength up and reward yourself for what you're having to go through... Surely those will make you feel better..

Hi Cooker,

I was 160 lbs prior to my latest surgery. I now weigh 140 lbs. So, looks like I lost 20 lbs in a matter of weeks. YIKES.... just skin and bones left!!
I wouldn't recomend this method however, and be careful with those teams. You could get a "shoe-in" on one of them.

All the best to you, and everyone that participates in the throwdown!!!

Rob

An addition of 20 pounds to the guys' losses! --- wow, what a finale! :D:D:D

Seriously, so glad you battled through, Rob, and hope your recovery goes well from now on. Great to see you reporting on Cooker's Throwdown.

Ditto!! ... I guess the gals might as well concede:biggrin2: ... SB, sorry about the tooth ... with all the crowns I have you would think I'm royalty ... well DW says I'm a royal pain in the &*%#:biggrin2:

Well, if we're counting Rob's 20 lb loss, we gals are sunk!

134 is the best I can do, ladies. I had hoped for a little more, and I think some of it is still water, but I can't get the scale to budge and my rings are tight. This one day on, one day off the lasix is not cutting it, long term, even though I'm watching/journaling every point I put in my mouth and staying away from the junk food. Sigh.

Oh well, this battle is for the rest of my life, and if I'm wearing an extra 5 lbs, I'll get them off eventually if I keep at it.

Final Pumpkin Race report:

Down .4 over past week.

Total loss for the race: 14.4 pounds. :smile2:

Superbob wonders how much of this he will put back on over Thanksgiving/Christmas/New Year's. :rolleyes2:

I'm happily munching on a cherry danish as I type this. Later today, I will buy Halloween candy. No Halloween candy has passed my lips . . . . Yet!:biggrin2:

Rob, we adore ya, but your 20 pounds won't cut it for this race. :wink2: I think I speak for the gals when I say that we would love you to become a regular Throwdown cheerleader . . . kind of like Bina and Fred, a sideline commentator, or just a contributor to the weekly threads.
But no way is your 20 pound loss gonna be allowed to help the Pumpkin Race guys.:thumbd:

My results:
Last week's weight: 157
This week: 155.5
Loss: 1.5 pounds
Total for the race: 3.5

Hello all, glad to hear from you Rob. My weight for today is 215.2:thumbup: that is a 1.6 LB loss:cool: Now I just have to keep it up, I would like to get to 185. It has been a fun race and I will continue to post in the throwdown to keep the pressure on me and the weight off.

Looking ahead . . . . we could do the Reindeer Dash (er) right up to the last Friday before Christmas . . . that would actually be Christmas Eve . . . . then reconvene the first Friday of 2011.

Any takers?

"Reindeer Dash" sounds like The Chimp running to the bathroom after consuming his magic, prune-juicy potion. :p

BTW, Duffster, congrats on your loss this final week of the punkib race.

Right on..!! Or we could do a short "Turkey Trot" to Thanksgiving and the Chimp would still qualify for the short trot due to "his magic, prune-juicy potion"..:biggrin2:

Congratulations to you good Halloween Throwdowners as I mount my broom and ride off into the sunset preparing to weigh in tomorrow..:rolleyes2:

Was that a crow I saw flyin' by Duffy...surely one of the guys knows how to make a pie outta that critter.:redface2:
