A Chimp blushing! I want a photo of that! :tongue2:

Ann, I am very sorry to hear of your injury. Hope it heals fast, and we'll hear from you even faster. We appreciate your insight and encouragement.

Steve, still down more than 7 pounds for the year makes you one of our top loser/achievers. Hang in there -- the holiday partying will come to an end eventually (I think)….

Superbob will be lucky to be down even a pound or two for the year, but he thinks Weight Watchers may give him the discipline for 2014 that his superpowers don't empower him with…..

SB did exert some discipline today by not taking advantage of Krispy Kreme's offer of a dozen doughnuts at $3.99 to celebrate the Carolina Panthers making it to the playoffs. SB does celebrate the Panthers, but he will do it with a nice crispy apple and maybe some cheese.':biggrin2:

Happy New Year, Throwdowners!

Do stalwart Throwdowners really have a hankering for another Race to Saint Paddy's Day? I put that out there in a burst of enthusiasm, but I know we've been there, done that. Would a different "race" be better? Or no race at this time? Does the race gimmick turn off some potential joiners?

What is the honest assessment of The Chimp and others?

My WW weekly weigh-in went well again. I am averaging 2 pounds a week loss since joining mid-December. If I can keep that up, I will be doing good. I have having second thoughts if a "race" would be compatible with the long-term tracking.

Would like to know what our merry gang really wants to do.

Cheerio and Happy New Year!

I think the Race to Paddy's is a great idea. I think we've come full circle and ready for some extra motivation/incentive!! It usually includes good banter too.

Happy New Years Throwdowners and friends of Throwdowners!

Ann, sorry to hear of your injury. I wish you a speedy recovery!

SB, good job! That's a perfect rate of loss on average. Tracking is the way to go for consistency. I know that after tonight I will have used up all of my 49 splurge points, so Wednesday through Friday will be lean mean days in preparation for Saturday's weigh-in.

I missed the chance to weigh in this morning -- was too focused on digging out the driveway to get to work. Almost didn't make it -- street has so much snow I almost didn't get out of the driveway after I shoveled it. Anybody want some snow? They can have all of mine! (About a foot plus drifts since New Year's, and the new snowblower is in the shop.)
