Today's weigh in showed me down 2.5 from last week, which more than wiped out the gain.

For 2014, I am down 2 pounds, but I am down 22.5 from my meeting with my cardiologist in early Match 2013. I still want to lose another 5.5 pounds.

I'm glad to hear that so many of you are finding value in WW. I am not a member but have been in the past. I still remember one of my leaders saying that the hardest thing about exercising is putting your shoes on. I think of her on those morning when I am contemplating sleeping in instead of running or walking.

Keep up the good work and stay healthy. -- Suzanne

Great report, Suzanne! That's remarkable progress over the past 10 months -- seems as though you may be close to your ideal weight, and then ready to maintain it. When you reach that point, I hope you will stay with us, because maintaining is a very important part of this journey we're on -- in that it's about avoiding the dreaded yo-yo syndrome.

It's great to have you here in our merry band.

The Victory Scone - the trophy of all trophies!

And The Victory Scone shall be Superbob's -- how sweet it will be!

Tonight Son of Superbob took his whole company -- including families with kiddies -- to one of the area's most sumptuous buffets. Superbob went for protein tonight -- the prime rib was exquisite -- but had to sample the scalloped potatoes, which are divine. And a few slivers of carrot cake at the end -- not too much damage I guess, but I think my WW splurge points will be pretty much depleted for the week when I tote then up. :smile2:

Hey to all,

It is way too cold for Alabama folk. We saw sleet today and it was 28F. Our skin is very thin.

Got on the scales at my GP office, and Horror! I had gained 5 lbs. those darned shoes weigh so much. Why won't the nurses let me take them off.?

Twice the work for half the results when it comes to weight loss, exercise, and Everything!i hope everyone is feeling well. Take care

I know what you mean about the extra sting of the cold in the South! I understand that starting about Tuesday next week we will have perhaps the coldest one yet aimed right at the southeast. :eek2:

My secret of weighing at the doctor's is to just kick off my shoes before getting on the scales -- not asking the nurse beforehand, I swear that weighing with shoes on at the doctor's office adds at least 10 pounds! If I have jackets or other garments I can shed without getting arrested, I shed them, too! :tongue2: Better luck weighing next time…keep us posted on how you're doing.

I do know this about exercise. Doing something different, or in a different sequence, burns more calories. Our muscles have memories, so if we do the same routine every day our muscles don't have to work so hard.

Also, I know I am more sedentary in my daily life. (uck). So I need to be just a little more active at REST.

The-Chimp is tired of sucking hind teat :mad2: I ain't gonna let some Kentucky gentleman strike a blow against the good old boys of SC!! For all we know they might be supplementing their weight loss efforts with moonshine and if that's the case the prune juice will be coming out and I don't want to hear no flappin gums from no Ref that ain't close enough to hit me with any type of penalty or sanction :tongue2: ... It's on ... the term war is an under statement:thumbup:

That's the spirit, Chimp! It is for a fact time for the South Carolina boys to get in the race with the Kentucky Flash and be positioned to best him down the wire!

Wouldn't be surprising if some of that fine Kentucky moonshine has something to do with his phenomenal progress! :tongue2:

Nail on the head! Gulp. Pour. Splash. Gulp. Yep, it does burn calories, among other things.

Duffey, hope you have recovered all the way. Have you heard lately how Ann is? Hope she's better!

Cast should come off hand and arm in another week. Quite a major experience but thankful it wasn't worse. Remember. When I asked for your prayers? That was . Wh y. Cant use computer but can use tablet witha stylus.

Goodness, I didn't realize how severe it is. Please pass along to Ann that her friends here are sending her their best thoughts/vibes/prayers. Hope Ann will be fully recovered as soon as possible.

Weighing in today .. I am down .2 lbs. I will take it! My habits are in place, I think next week I will see a bigger change. And I attended a CHOCOLATE THEMED WEEKEND and still had that loss.

Results for the challenge: Jan 1 start at 149.2 . . . today 146.4 for 2.8 pounds lost.

South Carolina got snow and ice?!! Wow! It's a good thing neither of you two got stranded in a grocery store all night as some in Atlanta did! Of course, grazing in a grocery store comes at a price.
