Greetings and Happy Thanksgiving! ... This is a perilous time of year for those of us trying to lose weight:eek: ... I for one am going to try and stay somewhat conscious of my caloric intake but I know gain is inevitable:rolleyes: ... life is short and one of the pleasures of life for TheChimp is good food and I have decided not to deny myself the delicacies of the holiday season ... It has already started with a three pound gain for the week ... today, I’m sure, will add a few to the pile-o-pounds I need to lose ... no worries mate, what goes up must come down...:)

Starting weight..........233
Last Week ..................191
This week.....................194
Total Loss ....................39

Hi Cooker what you need to keep you on the straight and narrow is a bit of competition
My weight is 86.5 kilo (190.30 lbs.) BMI 26.7
Lets have a little contest
I am throwing down the gauntlet
to see if you are a chicken or a chimp
Have a great Thanksgiving and enjoy your turkey

Three pounds. No bad for what you were exposed to Cooker. Enjoy your Thanksgiving feast!

I'm not that revved up about "the meal" this year. However, I'm not yet on target for a loss this week. Cindy got a stress craving for steak on Tuesday night. We ended up at Texas Roadhouse. I was overly starved by the time we got there. I had the Baby Blossom fried onion thing, a cheeseburger and steak fries; all of it exceedingly greasy! I don't like their rolls, so I was spared that addition. Anyway, I guess that was my splurge. Yuck.

Happy Thanksgiving to all Throwdowners and friends of Throwdowners!

Is your challenge to the Chimp for the most weight lost OR the most weight gained?

In whatever capacity, welcome to Cooker's Throwdown!

Art, welcome to the ThrowDown ... chicken or Chimp? ... it is obvious you are new:rolleyes: ... what’s it to be? ... most pounds loss between now and years end? ... week by week? ... whichever is fine with me ... careful not to trip over that gauntlet you threw down and bust your arse;)

I hope I'm not out of line in posting this.

Remember the Chimp in your thoughts and prayers. He is battling the flu and bronchitis and could probably use some good vibes. So, let's put a spell on those heebiejeebies that are hovering over his tree.

Here's our weigh-in for this week.

CINDY:

Starting Weight: 140.8
Last Week: 137
This Week: 136.4
Weekly Change: -.6
Total Loss: 4.4

WISE:

Starting Weight: 194.2
Last Week: 188.2
This Week: 187.2
Weekly Change: -1.0
Total Loss: 7

We are thrilled to have lost weight this week. We splurged on Tuesday night, but were well behaved on Turkey Day (at Shoney's). We have a home cooked meal at Cindy's Mom's house to attend, this Sunday, for our second Turkey Day. We can meet the challenge once again!

Hope everyone is doing well and enjoyed Thanksgiving festivities, whether you lost, gained or stayed the same.

Get well Chimp; don't eat too lite while you're ill...if you're able to to eat.

Hello Chimp did I really challenge you !!
I must have being drunk
Without fail Santa never forgets me and he always brings pounds and pounds every Christmas
So I plead with you to forgive me for my stupidity
No I am not trying to chicken out of my drunken challenge
I just trying to slide away quietly
I JUST DON'T WANT TO UPSET SANTA
As today is the 1st. of December why not have a final weight in 4 months hence
April fools day
I remain your squirming challenger

Art ... fear not ... I have requested only four things from Santa ... one box of Banana Moon Pies, one box of Vanilla Moon Pies, one box of Chocolate Moon Pies and a box of Snicker candy bars:eek: ... We are talking boxes from Sam’s Wholesale ... I would guess maybe twenty each per box ... I may change my request but truth be known I really don’t need anything so my favorite snack (store bought) foods seem like a good idea:rolleyes: ... Anyone showing a loss between now and years end may be dubbed "Anti Holiday Season" and punished by being given the task of starting each weeks ThrowDown thread in 2010:eek: ......

The exchange between Art and The Chimp is hilarious! Provided a needed Monday morning laugh. Let it be known that Superbob is a whimpering coward who is skeered of the scales.:p And Christmas makes even bigger cowards of us all, when it comes to rejecting calorie-packed food. :) Honestly, Superbob hopes to get back in the game soon.

A small whine with my cheese: My lumbar spinal stenosis has flared up, making my walks increasingly painful. I am calling my doctor now, hoping he will assign Superbob to a PT hottie (hopefully one dressed in a Santa's helper outfit) who can make it all better. ;)

Too late, Art.
We've all ready laid wagers on which one will win the challenge!

ps squirming burns extra calories, so you're ahead of the game.
pps I'm send the chimp moon pies for Christmas, so you have the advantage.:p

SB, alias SC, I hope the doc and/or the PT can help you out there. Hope for quick improvement!

Careful girlie ... I know your weakness and might send you one:eek:

What fun! I love challenges - especially between 'frogs' and 'chimps' :) I use the term 'frog' fondly. Paris is my favorite city in the whole world (that I've lived in anyway). Bienvenue Art et bonne chance a vous!

I like SuperBob was 'skeered' of the scales this week. I jumped on and off real quick and I think I gained 1.2 lbs. But that was Friday after the Thanksgiving feast. I've been back on track ever since so I expect a loss this week. I'm going to do all I can to show a loss by the end of the year, but trust me Chimpman, you don't want me starting these threads - you are just too good at it. I could never begin to compete! :p I hope you are feeling better soon. Enjoy those moon pies from Santa (errrrr Mary) I think I am finally over my crud and hopefully you will be soon too.

Wise and Cindy - VERY GOOD JOB!!!

There is always next week for the rest of us. I'm not throwing in the towel - except perhaps a beach towel... I'm headed for a Caribbean beach and swimsuit weather for New Year's eve. I gotta get a few more pounds off before then. I'm hoping for 5 lbs. at a minimum.

Bon courage à tous!!

balderdash, baloney, bunk, debris, drivel, foolishness, hokum, hooey, horsefeathers, poppycock, refuse, ridiculousness, rot, rubbish, trash, twaddle:rolleyes:

Be careful with those big words there, you need that mental energy to go towards winning the new challenge. That kind of spunk will help though. :D
