Greetings ... I'm getting started a bit late today, sorry if anyone has been waiting to post a big loss ... it certainly isn't me ... I seem to be up and down, up and down ... my low point last week must have been a false reading because I am at 197 this morning and that is up a pound from last week's official post ... All the refined sugar snacks have been either consumed or taken to work so maybe I can stick to some kind of plan....

To be honest I have been so busy at work and washed out in the evenings that I have not had the energy to reply as I should to the ThrowDown and I apologize for that ... I have been making some mental notes on changes I need to make to get back in the swing of things and hopefully I can get back to my old sarcastic self before long ....

Anyway, I hope everyone is well and had a good week ... peace out:cool:

Starting weight..........233
Last Week ..................196
This week.....................197
Total Loss ....................36

Come on, Mr. Chimpster, the sun will come out soon enough. We need your sprightly observations to cheer us up! :):):)

Superbob fears that the NFL eat-a-thon, uh, playoffs plus some bubbly on Tuesday night may have stymied progress of The Man of Steel this week. A peek at the scales this morning looked like a vote for the status quo. However, SB will delay his official weigh-in to tomorrow morning, in hopes of using one of the miracle potions on loan from The Chimp to register a small loss.

Meanwhile, SB has been assigned a nice new (female) physical therapist who has just moved here from Knoxville, so we spent the whole hour this morning discussing the state of Volunteers' football, post- Kiffin, and Peyton Manning in the playoffs. SB hardly felt the pain from the exercise or sucking in his gut. :p

I know what you mean Mr. Chimp. After working all day in front of a computer, often when I get home I don't even want to look at it, much less logon.

You gotta take care of you and the rest of us will muddle through just fine Although of course we love your witty repartee, nobody can be 'on' all the time. Good news that the processed sugar bad stuff is all out of the house now. Rest up and you'll be feeling like your old sarcastic self in no time.

I think I did very well this week unloading some of those vacation pounds. I'll officially weigh in tomorrow morning.

Hang in there!

Uh Oh ---- someone failed to warn the PT place of SB's super penchant for female therapists. Oh well - hard to be too playful whilst holding in you gut! I think she is safe! Hope the therapy helps you get all better soon.

I expected to have a substantial loss due to a close encounter with the stomach bug, but it's not to be.
I stayed the same as last week . . . 155.5
I hope others have had a better week losing.:)

Well, I guess it's my turn to keep things going the right direction - given that I've been absent for awhile and eating like I was on vacation or something! Wait a minute, I was on vacation. :) I'm sorry to say my vacation glow is gone, but so are the extra pounds I packed on. That last bit is the good news! Down 5.2 lbs this week and back under 200!! . :D:D Clearly most of it fluid, but hey - it's gone!

Now I'm back to where I was on Jan 1st - so hopefully next week my loss (optimism at play here) will contribute towards the St. Patty's day race.

Fellow throwdowners - when the scales don't budge and you think they should have - that can be sooo frustrating. The body is a finicky thing. If you just hang tough then next week I'm sure you will be rewarded two-fold. That's happened to me I don't know how many times - where I should have seen a loss, but didn't. The next week usually makes up for it provided I don't throw in the towel and succumb to drowning my frustrations in food. That never solves anything. (but does taste good for a little while... ;)) Just don't give up!

Starting weight: 224
Last Week: 202.8
This week 197.6
Loss: 5.2
Total loss: 26.4

Maybe we should find a wayward star and weigh there?;):p

Congratulations, Rhena, on a fabulous comeback!:)

Yes - wouldn't we be weightless in Space? I like the sound of that!

Thank you both for the congrats! Next week I move up to phase 2 which is about 400 calories a day more, so probably won't be nearly as dramatic of a loss - plus now the excess fluid is gone, but I am so happy to be rid of those vacation pounds quickly! Yippppeeee!

We will all have losses next week!

Bellied into Logan's Roadhouse last night. Peanuts to munch on from big bucket on table, big salad with honey mustard dressing, humongous yeast rolls right out of oven (yum!),12 oz ribeye steak, cinnamon apples (too sugary -- should have gone with a potato), one Coors Light in a frosty mug.

Caloric damage, uncalculated. But doesn't "the Ref" exempt calories from a fun place like Logan's? :D Oh wait -- no "Ref" here anymore, no controlling legal authority. Only a Chimp wildly swinging through the jungle. :p

Oh well, for penance, maybe Superbob will munch celery sticks and drink water during the NFL championships tomorrow. (And if you believe that, you believe pigs fly. :p

We need to head out to run errands and go to Cindy's mom's to watch a basketball game with her this afternoon. Then we're going to Longhorn's, but we have looked up the stuff and have already factored in the WW point values (plus some weekly points for a goody). So, I'm going to post a quick and abbreviated report this week.

Cindy lost .4 (137.6) this week for a total loss of 3.2.

I lost .2 (183.0) this week for a total loss of 11.2. However, since September, I've lost a total of 17.

Good going everyone, we'll get there by hook or crook. :p:D

One of our sons manages the local Logan's Roadhouse so far be it for me to cast stones, SB.;) I love their baked sweet potato, and I eat it without any added garnishments. The teriyaki chicken is also fairly low in calories.:)

Good job, Wise and Cindy.

Good job everyone ... calories smalories ... TheChimp is in the process of giving yet another bad habit and intend to eat myself trough withdrawals ... yep TheRef has vanished and I'm not pulling out the handcuffs, not for punishment anyway;)
