Well, as predicted I’m up, way up .... Six pound gain contributed to ice cream, milk shakes and fried chicken ... Slap my hand, impeach me or fix me another shake ... it really does not make a diff ... I enjoyed every bite and gulp.......

Starting weight..........233
Last Week ..................189
This week.....................195
Total Loss ....................38

I vote for the shake. I'm glad you're not beating yourself up. That's the worst thing to do after a really fun food week!

I will be up tomrrow I think. We ate Mexican food on Sunday after Church and was up almost two pounds on Monday morning. That was added to 1/2 pound I gained already since last Friday. I have trickled down some each day, but have not really been doing that great in food choices.

I'm guessing that it's water weight. That's how my body responds to putting things into it that I shouldn't. You'll lose it again and then some, you've done it in the past. AND you know where it came from. All those months of being so good - I never could figure out why not 1 pound would drop away.

Today I'm finally down another pound.

Ugh. I'm up another 2, to 133, total of 4 lbs up from goal.

That's about 3 weeks of a bit too much salt, combined with allergies from 10+ days of rain that have my ears clogging and giving me vertigo. The water (including about 10 inches of rain) has to go somewhere, and I think it's all settled in my ears!

Meanwhile Jet is going stir crazy 'cause she's barely even getting walks this last 2 weeks. The yard's a swamp, classes have been cancelled for 3 Thursdays running, no weekend training. She's gonna be a nut case at this weekend's agility trial - I can see it now!

Hi everyone! I am going to finally report a 1.5 pound loss, the first loss I
have had in months. I am convincing myself that I can actually see a
difference - its nice to live in a fantasy world:)

Well at least you know where it came from. You men just kill me anyway, You can lose 5 lbs in one week and gain 5 the next. Not me and I suspect women in general. We struggle to lose every little pound, but can still gain 5 lbs and more in a week. I can attest to that!! I've done it many times :) I'd say I'm sorry for you but you have the right attitude - you did it, you enjoyed it and now you pay the piper. As a female, I'd be lying to say that I don't feel just a little vindicated.... So petty of me! :p:D Get back on the wagon next week chimpman and It'll probably all be gone again. Then I'll be pi$$ed! (actually just jealous) :D:D

Dina - Yippee to 1.5 loss! Don't know if you know of Lyle Lovett, a singer/songwriter. In one of his songs there is line that goes ' I live in my own mind, Ain't nothing but a good time!' That's me and maybe you too. We see what we want in the mirror and I'm sure your waistand is looser too!

I'll post my throwdown numbers tomorrow as usual. I'm pretty sure I've lost, but maybe not much. This is getting soooo tedious - but necessary. I'm going to switch to another diet next week. I need a change. Might throw me off at first but we will see.

Karlynn -good job! I know how hard that 1 lb is. Next week will be better AgilityDog. Hang in.

I am up 1.5 pounds this week. We went with friends to a dive that serves really good fish. That would've been okay except we over did it.

Cindy says that she can't bring herself to weigh since she pigged out so badly. She promises she will weigh next Friday.

That's great Dina!!!!!

I'm down a pound this morning ... Sorry Rhena :p

That's great Cooker! (grrrr...... ) ! I didn't do so bad this week - so I'll let that one slide. In fact I did pretty darn good! I don't mind the effort nearly as much when it pays off.

Start weight: 224
Last Week 214.8
This Week: 212
Weekly loss: -2.8 (hard fought)
Total lost : -12

As I speak the rest of my colleagues at work are enjoying a tailgating party themed Departmental lunch. Hamburgers and hotdogs for all. The guys brought up their bbq grills and they are doing it up Texas style!!! What a spread and it smells sooo good! I swear I saw one guy eat two hotdogs and a hamburger... not to mention all the sides. I hope he has a horrible case of heartburn later.... :D :p I brought my precisely measured salad

A girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do.....:)

I had a cone and a shake today... a guy's gotta do what a guy's gotta do:D

Hey, all!

I need some advice. I haven't been on the Throwdown lately, but I am down to my WW goal weight of 145. Yay! However, as many of us know post-ablation/EP study/anything that requires a catheter the size of a garden hose going into a femoral artery, I am on exercise restriction for two weeks. I don't want to gain weight (that hospital food was actually tasty! Go figure!), anyone have any advice on how to avoid gaining while only being able to do my daily routine without exercise? Of course, no heavy lifting, housework, running up the stairs, etc.

Thanks!

Love,

Just got home from wedding of best friends' daughter. Cake, chocolate fountain, goodie table 30 feet long. :(

Well now you are just showing off. You will still have to pay the piper, but you have all week to do it. Get busy chimpman!:D:)

What useful advice that is - prune juice!:rolleyes: He may be on to something though, but I don't think the strangled goose look would be pretty on you. Besides who has the time?:) I was on WW before - I think it is a really good program. I lost 70 lbs on it - but over the last 10 years I've put about 45 of that back. Arrrgh! :( It just kind of insidiously creeps back on without you realizing it or your just in denial one!:) I don't know the newest program, but maybe you can decrease your daily number of points down by the number of activity points you estimate you will be losing by not doing your normal activities/exercise. Now since that is likely to make you a very hungry girl, I'd also make up a lot of zero point soup or something similar and have the 'free' veggies & low point fruit on hand, cleaned, cut and ready to eat. Make a plan and work it girlfriend! ;) You may also consider talking it over with your WW leader if you were a meeting goer. Good Luck!

Wait a sec - I left out the most important thing!!!! CONGRATULATIONS ON Making your goal weight!!!!! That is excellent!!! If I had one of those clapping hands emoticons I would insert it here!

Sorry I'm reporting in a bit late. I'm up. :( But Nathan and I went out to eat last night while my MIL watched the kiddos (first time we've eaten an interrupted meal together since the kids were born!). I'm gonna blame that. ;)

We've had some extra stress piled on us the last few days (which I'll post about in a more appropriate thread). I don't foresee much weight loss success in the near future. :( *sigh*

I'm back on track. Last Tues I joined curves and did exercise on Tues, Wed, Thur, & Friday. I am also really watching what I'm eating but won't officially be back in WW until the lst of October.

I hope all of us have a good week and whittle away a little more fat.

Debi, I have to admit I'm a little jealous but if I knew a way to prevent you from gaining any weight right now I would tell you. Don't cut your calories too much while you are still healing.
