Wondering if anyone has news on the ETA of the test strips? Had a brief conversation with a rep Steri (the company handling the replacement strips) They still had no idea when supplies would be available again.
I get my supplies from Tapestry. They have no info about replacement timing. However, I have received from them a ?loaner? INRatio machine. The accompanying letter from Tapestry indicates that this is a loaner the cost of which has been provided by Roche. Apparently the supplies for it are also charged to Roche until they get the Coaguchek situation straightened out. I did my first test last night and found it very easy to do. There are few c\significant differences between the apparent machine functioning. What I like is better about the Roche machine is that it shows a progressive time bar as it is testing rather than the static message from NR ?Test in progress?. Also, the INRatio seems to need a large amount of blood. I found it somewhat harder to fill the well, but liked the idea that it lit up to see its location better. Because of my progressive eyeglasses, I find sitting down so I am closer to the well makes it easier to see what I am doing. What I read about the new Roche device that one can bring it in any position up to the drop of blood would be more convenient if I had to choose between them, I?m not sure. What I see about
Now I must admit a Bad thing that I did. I found two Coaguchek strips in the carrying case that I had not destroyed, so I ran both Roche & INRatio at the same time. Roche 4.0, INRatio 4.1.
So for all that have asked about a comparison, accurate.
