For those of you familiar with my wife Cindy, today is her birthday. I just wanted to let you know.

We went to Malone's in Lexington last night so she could get a $30 steak.
She loved it. Then she had creme brulee. She loved that too.

We go to church in Louisville, but this morning there are patches of ice on the freeways. There was a 10 car pile up there due to the icy roads, so we're staying home. Boo hiss.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CINDY!!!!
I hope you have a fabtabulous day!!!! Sounds like a wonderful dinner and I encourage you to have plenty of birthday treats today:) ........then back on track.......you know Wise can be a bad influence:D

Wishing you a VERY VERY VERY Happy, Skinny, Birthday!!!!!

There are no calories in birthday cake!!!

Thank you for the birthday wishes!

Cooker...I really did enjoy the dinner last night. My mom and son and daughter-in-law went with us, which was fun. The food and the service there were both very good. Then, we went to Barnes & Noble and did a little shopping and back home at 9:30. Got some nice gifts too. :)

Karlynn...instead of cake, I'm going to have some cherry cobbler today (Granbonny's recipe). Tomorrow or the next day I'm going to make fruitcake cupcakes, but that's the only Christmas treat I'm allowing myself to make this year. Other than that, I'll eat pretty healthy and walk on the treadmill.

Bonnie...that cobbler recipe is SO good. We've had peach, blackberry and cherry now. Making it is about as easy as falling off a log. We served some to friends Friday night and they called last night wanting to double check the recipe to take to their brother/brother-in-law's house....it's a hit!!

I hope you all have a very wonderful Christmas season...fun and not too busy to enjoy it.

Cindy

Happy Birthday my friend. I hope it is wonderful. I am so happy to be part of your celebration.

Happy Birthday, Cindy. Glad 'the guy' took you out for your favorite. We like pie too for birthdays. I bet you had the one with a cup of sugar, a cup of milk and a coup of flour. They are great.

Many more birthdays. You go, girl>

Thanks also to Earline, Wayne, Bina, Geebee, & Hensylee!

Gina, liked your cool picture.

Ann, yes indeed that's the recipe. Yum!

Yep, I'm late to this one too. Happy Birthday, belated though it is, Cindy! I am the greatest pie lover on Earth, but I couldn't find out what type of pie Cindy had . . . . cobbler isn't pie, even though it's wonderful . . . . so did she actually get pie for her birthday, Wise? I want to vicariously drool and salivate at the thought of delicious pie!:) (no comments from the peanut gallery, Gadget!):p :p

Bob, Danny & Mary....thanks for your birthday greetings....belated is no problemo.

I think if I had Danny's cake for my birthday I'd be lit just like his candles! :eek

Mary, I did have cherry cobbler, complete with ice cream, for breakfast! (sounds like something Cooker would do). The roads here were better last night so Wise & I went to O'Charley's (in town) and I brought home a luscious hunk of their caramel pie...mmm mmm.

Bob, so as you see, I did have all the treats I want!

So, we're now going to gear down and eat more moderately at least until next Sunday, which is our wedding anniversary.

Cindy
