One more step in the process completed. . .
Got my dental "clearance" form today. Had to have one extraction (ouch!) because we felt that the tooth was too weak, and that during intubation/extubation it could break off and become aspirated -- not a good thing. Without that one, all is well. I will have to go back to the dentist in another 10 days or so for a follow-up to be sure it is healing well, but no other issues.
Next week I go off to the cardio for a carotid ultrasound and some labs, then he will write orders for the obligatory cath.
Then a couple of weeks later I go off to the hospital for pre-admission MRI, more labs and pre-admission instructions.
On one hand, I can't imagine how I would get this all done if I had a shorter timetable. On the other hand, I'm kind of wishing the time line was compressed so that it would all be over sooner.
Guess that means that I'm ready. . .
