I am currently about a week away from relocating back to where I was born - the Twin Cities. Does anyone have the name of a good Cardiologist in the area? I'll be working on the East side of St. Paul, so I would prefer someone over on that side, if possible. Thanks!

I saw Ann Dunnigan for quite some time. She also works with peds. I think she works out of the U of M.

I see Dr. Murad at North Memorial. He is great and so are the rest of the cardiologists there. Good luck with the move and welcome back!

Hey Mike -

Are you happy about the move? Hope all goes well. You'll be getting back in time for tick and mosquito season:eek:.

Take care. And take your deet;).

Hi MIke
Welcme back to the land of sky blue waters. Been here for 56 years and have been with Dr Richard Nelson at Minneapolis Cardiology for 28 of those 56 years. Actually I have met many many of the cardios with the group. The most outstanding ones I have worked with are Nick Burke and Yale Wang. Minneapolis Cardiology is attached to Abbott Northwestern. Can't go wrong with any one of the group.

Ivan Chavez at Abbott (Minneapolis) came highly recommended to me.

However, I ended up only seeing him for five minutes ... in which he told me the surgeon's office would call me the next day! So, I don't have any personal experience.

He is my father-in-law's cardiologist.

Hi, and welcome back to MN! We are a little North of MPLS/St Paul (about an hour south of International Falls/Canada. Nathan and his Dad now doctor at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, but we have heard alot of great responses now from Abbott/NW. Nathan and his dad (heart transplant recipiant-U of M) did leave the U with the change over to Fairview and communication issues.

Good luck with your choices, and yes.....bring the Deet and BioSpot! I pulled 4 ticks off the dog and 1 tick off the kid yesterday :)
