I went to look up some of her old posts to try to see where the endo came
from and found that she had osteomyelitis in March-- osteo and endo are
buddies-- the doctors couldn't put this one together .
Ok I will not be negative and angry here(but it is so hard)
I will pray that she get well quickly,that the invading microbe is weak,
and the armies of antibiotics be strong.

You may remember that Darlene (Yaps) has suffered from a low grade fever since late Spring. They finally performed a TEE yesterday, and she has endocarditis. There's growth on the mitral valve and she will see an infectious disease doctor in Mobile next week. Her health is precarious so I don't know what the options are at this point.
Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers.

this is really bad news. sounds like she fel through the cracks somewhere, with the complaints she has had over time; this should have been caught early on. She has had such a rough time since we have known her - First her health, then her husband's job, then the house, etc. Don't think she's had a good day since she came to us.

There should be transportation for her through a service there near Pensacola. When I go to the clinic/hospital in Pensacola, there are all sorts of vans bringing patients for treatment. They pick up/deliver patients where they need to go. Mobile isn't that far from Pensacola, but maybe the vans don't cross state lines.

I haven't been on for a few days as I haven't been feeling too great myself, but please know that I am keeping Yaps in my thoughts and prayers as she deals with yet another bump in the road. Harrybaby
