I just spent a week at the James Cancer hospital, home now recovering. I had a tumor that had filled with a blood clot on my ovary. I was sent right away to an oncologist at osu medical center Columbus Oh.

I am one of the lucky people you can say because the blood clot was wrapped around the tumor and was on the verge of rupturing. The outcome was a MIRACLE. Even tho is was supicious of cancer they did a complete hysterctomy NO CANCER ANY WHERE ELSE!!!

The tumor was disected and sent to several places to be observed further. My heart did excellent thru the surgery and pacemaker was turned off and cardiologists were in OR standing by to take over in an event of cardiac arrest. Mechanical valve is doing super. I passed with flying colors and after heprin drip was stopped my INR quickly hit target level and I got to come home 4 days earlier than expected.

God sure watched over me and brought me home. I have a long recovery about 6 weeks but I am a survivor and I am truely blessed. Who would have believed I was 4 months post opt from heart surgery and went thru a surgery like this.

I just had to let my VR family know. I will let you know how the biopsy reports turn out. I really feel good that I will get better news when they come back. I am still amazed at this blessed MIRACLE!!!

Mary, I need to remember your story when I think I have something to whine about. Wishing and praying for a speedy recovery and continued good health.

Congratulations Mary, that is great news!

Some of us have more trials then others, but we keep on coming on. ;)

Hi Mary,
Glad to hear you are doing OK. You are right we all are truly Blessed even though there are days we might not think so. I hope the report back from the Dr. turns out the way you want it to.
You are in my thoughts and prayers.
Take Care

Congratulations, Mary! This is definitely good news. I think you'll be recovering much better from this miracle surgery.

Mary,
That is great news.
Best wishes for a speedy recovery.

Mary:

What great news! You've been so much already, surely your guardian angel was watching over you!

Take it easy during your recovery from the hysterectomy. Don't attempt any marathons just yet! :)

Mary,

Whew - quite a saga, but so glad of the positive outcome of your surgery.

Here's to a very speedy recovery and continued good health!!

Wonderful news, Mary. I'm so happy to hear of the good outcome. You're overdue for a long uneventful run of good luck.

Hip Hip Hooray, Mary! Congrats. Pamper yourself and take it very easy during recovery.

This is just wonderful news.

Mary, I'm so glad you are home and the outcome looks so promising.

You do have several weeks of recovery ahead of you and I urge you to really pamper yourself. Now is the time to read those books you may have been too pumpheaded to enjoy after your heart surgery.

I hope the rest of this year is smooth sailing for you. You deserve some time for rest and relaxation apart from "recovery time".

Mary,
Thanks for sharing your great news with us. I'm sorry you had this worry on your plate at all, but grateful that you came through it so well. Keep us posted and take good care of yourself.

Whew ... if it ain't one thing, it's another. Can't believe how well and positively you handled this one, right on top of your heart surgery. NOW just let yourself relax -- you deserve it. Thanks for sharing. Karlynn said it upthread: <<Mary, I need to remember your story when I think I have something to whine about.>> I surely need to do the same!

Oh my ! It's so good to hear the news. Just rest now and recover. If they didn't find anything else nearby, then all is well! I'm so glad you are O.K.

Heather

Oh my gosh Mary! There you are doing 'double duty' on us and coming out smelling like a rose! I'm going to name you 'miracle Mary.' :p

Yep, when I feel like a good whine coming on, just like Karlynn and Marge -- I'm going to think of you and your wonderful outlook.

Here's to continued good health!! You deserve it.

I'm so happy for you...It's good posts like your's that take a lot off our minds. The females. :D :D I still have all my parts (Female) minus 1 ovary that I had removed at age 20 and was told, I probably could not have children. Bim, Bam, 2 in 21 months after I was married.  Wrong, Doc. :p :p I know, I still have those parts left.and if I'm ever told I might need surgery to remove them..I will think about you.. :) :) :) I have never had my ears pierced. I tell people, I'm going out with everything God gave me when I was born. Don't want no holes in me.. :p :p minus one normal valve and 1 ovary. :p :p Bonnie

Hello,
I wanted to say thanks for all you replies. I appreciate all your kind words and support. :) So far I haven't gotten words on biopsys but I know that it takes a while. I have my home health nurses here taking care of me once again. Just short term hopefully. I am feeling as good as expected. I have just been amazed at how I have came thru this. Guardian angels watching over me. :) I will keep in touch. I thank you my dear VR. family. I must rest now. God Bless You All!!!
