What a day. YESSSSSSS. Today 1:00pm our time, I saw Ton sitting up in her bed and grinning from ear to ear. Shaking with excitement and a few tears, but she is stoked. WOW. Thank you a million times over, everyone, for your prayers/love/thoughts and support. We sure couldn't have managed without all that. I could feel it all holding me up and keeping me calm [ sometimes - the calm that is]. I printed off the emails and put them in a folder and took them in at 4:00 pm when I was allowed back in. I could only stay 3 mins the first time. It was "quiet time" - huh that hadn't bothered anyone for the past 4 days, but today?? Never mind. I was able to stay 4 hours - including the 30 mins where I had to go off and find a shop open where I could purchase a box of "icy poles" - water ice blocks. I did and then sat and fed her an orange 1. I wish I'd had 2 more hands so I could get a photo of it too. But you can't have everything. and today we got the jackpot.....
They expect to have her in the ward/private room, tomorrow afternoon probably. THEN we can take her 2 little guys up to see her. She has hardly any tubes and wires etc compared with yesterday even, and she is giving cheek and orders and asking questions and certainly knows where she if for sure. Bit dark about the "bypass" that was not on the list, but her surgeon said he'd explain it all to her tomorrow. I just hope he has the time, cos she's going to want to know it all.
Ned, her husband, and Matt her eldest son, came down here tonight as tomorrow is a public holiday and its a good chance for the 2 young ones to catch up with
Dad and hopefully see Mum tomorrow.
Thank you again to all, each and everyone. We are forever in your debt.
Good night and God Bless. Love from Tonia and Noelene XXzzXX
