Thank you Ross. And everyone else. I print these off and read them to her but she'll soon be reading them for herself . Today was quite a good day. I had a couple of sessions with her. She knows I'm there and she sure will today as I smothered her in Lavender cream - her favourite. I did point out that tho' she has a squillion tubes/wires etc that there is not one purple 1. They'll have to fix that.
They have taken off 4 of the drugs and hopefully tomorrow they will remove that tube. I know that's the 1 I'd be keen to get rid of. But she has to alter her breathing style a little, calmly too. That is where she seems to panic or stress. I am sure they have all that worked out and will deal with it.
She has already been in ICU for 4 days and they are talking 3 more. It has been a bit hard on her boys -Steve 10 and Ben 13 who haven't seen her yet and I keep having to put it off another day. But maybe their Dad will let them go in on Tuesday as by then some more of the wires will be out and she'll be awake.. The draining tube thro' the groin has gone and a few other bits and pieces, so she's getting there.
jStaff in these units are out of this world. Just magic. I can't thank them enough. Just so dedicated.
About all for now. I'm about to try for some sleep I think I've earned it.
Bye for now, Love Noelene XXzzXX

all hands are joined together across the ponds and mountains - a great chain reaching all the way to Australia. I know Ton can feel us. Keep on keeping on, girl. We know you are going to be fine. And what a story you will tell us................. Blessins, Child.

We are all still out here, checking for news and pulling for you, Ton! So glad to hear good news. Keep up the good work and send us your one-of-a-kind posts when you are up and about!

Man but she has been through some ordeal! And 3 more days in ICU - bummer . She must be awfully weak to still have the breathing tube in place - or they simply have her zonked out on meds. I hope it is the latter.

Also -- I am not sure -- when she gets all of her faculties about her - that she will remember much to tell us. So don't be disappointed.

I'll be keeping Tonia's boys in my prayers also. It makes my heart ache when I read their ages. I have a son who is 13. We are all pulling for Tonia and her family. I hope she will be able to rejoin them soon. I know a day seems like a year right now but it will pass. Dream on those better days.

It's a gorgeous day here in God's mountains -- sending prayers from here that Tonia soon will have weathered all the storms and will be reunited with her children. Praying that she can find calm while they get her off that breathing device.

We love each progress report and look forward to the return of our wonderful Aussiegal.

Better, better and better. So happy things are improving and sending prayers up to God that He gets that breathing tube out for Ton. I hated it and cannot imagine her discomfort at still having it in. I sure hope she is sedated enough not to remember it too much.
Please continue to give her our love and let her know she is on our minds constantly.
Thanks for keeping us posted and please try and get some rest yourself.

Just catching up and I hope things improved even more today. Sending all our prayers and best wishes to you both.

Prayers for Tonia

Prayers for Tonia

I'm sorry for being so late with my prayers and best wishes but I have been off-line for a bit. Am so sorry to hear of all the complications that Tonia has had to deal with. I do hope that she continues to improve without any further problems and I sincerely hope that her boys get to see her soon. It will be good for all of them. Big hugs, good thoughts and positive prayers for Tonia and her family!

I am so glad to see that Tonia is improving. I am sorry to hear of the problems she has had. My thoughts are with her and her family.

Hey Ton, you need to get better soon, you are missed on this forum!

C'mon Aussie...(gal)

C'mon Aussie...(gal)

I had planned on trying to go to see her yesterday [same city / same hospital as me] but after phoning to see if she was taking visitors they said she was still in ICU so no visitors other than immediate family.

Her's hoping she will be out of the ICU and in the ward on the mend in no time :)

Thanks to Nolene for the updates. I know you must be exhausted. We are all praying for Ton and hoping soon she will be posting. She really is having a rocky road. Hopefully the docs and nurses will get her straightened out and she will sail through the rest of her recovery.

Thank you for the updates

TONIA!!! Darling, sweet girl! This is not what I had hoped to be hearing about you!! Who is messing with my Aussie friend?? My husband checked the forum for me and reported all your news while I was recovering in the hospital. Bless your mother for sticking by you so closely and sweetly....and taking time from her own important worries to let us all know about your bumpy road. :(.

I would lie there in my bed, bored, dozing in and out of reality, looking at the clock, trying to add 16 hours and figure out where you were in the process. Then to get this news that things were not running smoothly for you was very disappointing.

What everyone has said about you, though, is true. You have a heart of gold and the will of steel and I know you will manage to pull yourself through this because you know that at the other end of the battle lies the security of your "annie" being gone, and your future being safe.

Best of luck through these next few days. I am home now and thinking of you constantly.

Noelle. Thank you so much for understanding our needs to hear from you. I know whatever decision you make about taking the boys to see her will be the right one. There is so much love in her for her boys....perhaps that will help her!

Looking for better news each day!

:) Marguerite
