My answer was "1". I remembered the rule that prime numbers are ones that are divisible only by themselves and "1", so I figured "1" was a prime number since it fit the rule. Oh well, at least I still have decent thought processes.Lisa in Katy said:geebee,
Here's the poem I teach my kids - 2 and 3 make 5 friends that went to the 7-11 to get 13 pieces of candy. That's the first six prime numbers. If you said 1, it's considered "special", neither prime nor composite. I'm pretty sure that I learned that it was prime when I was in school, but the memory isn't so good anymore.
