Dear friends,
With Hank's permission, I am posting this. I know there are several of you out there like me, a cancer survivor, and the importance of finding a cure is as important as the advances in heart surgeries and treatments. In the world as it now exists, cancer has touched so many of our lives, whether it is a spouse, parent, child, friend or acquaintance.

Relay For Life

A Celebration of Life. A Testament to Hope. A Team Event to Fight Cancer.
One in three Americans will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Relay For Life represents the hope that those whose lives have been lost to cancer will never be forgotten, that those who face cancer will be supported, and that one day cancer will be eliminated.

The Relay For Life is the American Cancer Society?s signature fundraising event. As a cancer survivor, having lost three siblings and a nephew, having two nieces and a nephew that are survivors, I, as well as the rest of my family, am deeply involved in this event. Most of the money goes for cancer research and some goes to local programs. Our local event this year is April 20 and 21. My team hopes to raise $3,000.00 and I?m asking for your help. The following URL goes directly to the online system and my donation page. Every dollar counts and I?m counting on you.

If you have trouble with the URL please PM me and I?ll help you.

My family is involved in Relays in PA, NH, NC, AZ and CA. One thing we are doing as a fundraiser is quite exciting for us. One of my sisters had a cookbook published as a legacy to our mother. Although she never had cancer the losses she suffered from it during her life brought out her fighting spirit. At the ages of 100 and 101 she sewed and crocheted a variety of things for sale and for each of those years raised over $500.00, receiving some special awards and attended the Relay events. The recipes are a collection from my siblings, me, cousins, nieces & nephews and extended family. We are asking for a donation of $10.00 per cookbook. If you are interested in one PM me.

Thanks
Mel Pugliese
