Mary,my platelets also run high and I had a Bone Marrow test and body scan last year to rule out leukemia or cancer. There were some small spots on my liver and they have kept a good check on my liver readings since then. When my doctor called he said the platelets were on the rise again. I guess thats why he wants to recheck the liver a month after I start the Tricor.
