Sherrin, I'm so glad that the ER doc stood up for you! I certainly hope your primary doc is ashamed of himself for ignoring your complaints now. I can think of a few choice names to call him, but I shall refrain.
You'll have to let me know how your recovery goes. I should be getting an ICD/pacemaker placed in December as a precaution (because of my ventricular disfunction). I have an appt. with my electrophysiologist on Wednesday to see about setting it up. I already have a pacemaker, but it's always been in my abdomen, and they are talking about doing the ICD in my shoulder. It has me a little worried, simply because it's something new. I knew what to expect with the abdominal placement, but this is a whole new ball game (and scar!)...
