Thank you every one who has been praying for me. Well I had my Ross procedure about two weeks ago. The who procedure lasted about 5 hours. From what the Doctors are saying I am recovering remarkably well. I was out of the CICU unit in less than a day and home in 4 days.

The most difficult day was the day after surgery. There were some major problems with pain management. There were only two nurses for the entire unit and unless you were in a position to demand their attention, you were on your own.

It was great to get home. Since getting home, I've been doing a fair amount of eating, sleeping, walking and watching TV. I'm still finding it difficult to concentrate to read.

I'll check back later.

I'm glad to hear from you and that surgery went so well. That is awful the hospital didn't have enough staff to PROPERLY take care of their patients recovering from heart surgery. Maybe when you are a little ore recoverred, you should write letters to the head of the hospital ect letting them know. I did that after one of Justin's surgeries and things changed.

Luke, Its good to hear from you! I am glad everything went OK with the surgery, but sorry about the pain problem. I had the same problem in the Hospital. Get lots of rest and dont sweat the reading thing, it took me a month before I could keep focus on a book. Glad you are home and on the road to recovery.. Daren
