I don't blame you for being upset. I can't believe your cardiologist didn't schedule a up a follow up appointment to go over your results. I changed from a cardiologist of 13 years when I lost confidence in him after my surgery. I felt like it's more important than ever to have confidence in my cardiologist, since I am going to be relying on him or her to tell me if/when I need another surgery.

It sounds like you might want to either push your current cardio to give you more information or find another cardio whom you have more confidence in to evaluate your current status.

Sounds like the cardio was definitely on autopilot (think: Northwest pilots preoccupied with their laptops and passing destination by 150 miles). Maybe it was because of the death you mentioned, but it's still unacceptable and unprofessional for a Dr. not to refresh him/herself on the patient's file before entering the examining room.

I'd get a 2nd opinion after wearing the monitor.

I know you're a very smart girl and will do the right thing for yourself.
