My son-in-law listened and said it is barely audible and in his experience newborns can often have a very slight murmur which is innocent and clears. He isn't too worried at this time - my son-in-law is a paediatrician himself.

LOADS of babies are born with heart murmurs and most are completely innocent. Sincerely hope thats what this one is and mum and baby are home by now enjoying their first Christmas together!
