6 week post-op update

Hi All!
Just had my surgery recheck appointment this week. All looks good. Still have some arrythmias, but am being managed with medication (SVT arrythmia that comes and goes). Ablation was mentioned....but I am not wanting to go that route after my cardiac cath experience. I am hoping over time, the arrythmia will subside....hopefully! At least I am off the cardiac monitor now....free of wires finally after 2 months!
I am doing well though....walking daily ....anxious to get back to work (1 more week).
Still find it very hard to believe that I've just been through OHS. Seems very surreal.

Sounds good, Amy. Keep up the progress. I know what you mean about it seeming surreal; once in a while I see my scar in the mirror and still think, "Holy crap, I had open heart surgery!"

Take care Amy....sounds like you are doing well. Keep up the good work. I had a-fib post op for first 2 weeks and then PVCs for about a week. Everything is finally calm now and just started cardiac rehab. Good luck to you.
