Hi Gang,

I went in for my 51,000 mile checkup yesterday and all was well:D Echo shows no leaks, BP 130/70, HR 75 and INR 2.5. I had an echo 2 weeks after surgery to verify the fluid problem so I was a little anxious to see how things were. He did tell me to lose weight and I told him to bite me:D I have given up all (almost:p ) all vices, I am NOT giving up peach cobbler with fresh peaches, fries chicken etc (etc, is that correct:p ;) )

Anyway I just wanted to share the news and to thank you all again for your help, prayers and support. Could not have done it without you!!!!

Tom

Glad to hear you had a good check-up, Tom.:)

. . . . I will not comment on fluid leaks or "bite me";) :p

Good news, Tom! Congrats!

BTW, in my book a peach cobbler with fresh peaches is not a vice, it's a staple. Of course, I consider beer a food group (as do most other Canucks I know).

That's great news, Tom- don't blame you about the peach cobbler-yummmmm!

Tom: This is great news. I always read your post's right away because I enjoy their humor. In that vein, may I note that-not withstanding the discipline that has apparently enabled you to give up vises, I think your doctors should have made it more clear that they were referring to your "vices". Giving those up might be more difficult :)

Actually, Cooker, if you want to satisfy the purists, you would not use the abbreviation "etc" but rather et cetera from the original Latin. :D :D :D (I know, I know, "bite me" -- don't say it. :D :D :D )

Peach cobbler -- now, that's some damn fine eating. :) Also, cherry cobbler and (especially this time of year) blackberry cobbler.....:) :) :)

Did you get a fill up with high mileage Castrol? It's time to protect your systems.

Hot dang ... now I'm hungry ... AGAIN.

Course, apple pie is always good ... strawberry shortcake ...

*sighs*

I better stop there.

CONGRATS, Cooker, on your great checkup :).

Happy to hear your good news Cooker.

Hey, we also enjoy your humor...keep it up.

Two thumbs up for cobbler (peach, cherry, blackberry, etc.), strawberry shortcake, and all that sticks-straight-to-the-gut food! We're dieting to get rid of that effect, but we sure enjoyed getting in this shape!

Had a big bowl for breakfast!!!!!!!:D :D :D

I do not believe you.

That's right . . . I'm questioning your integrity.

No one can be lucky enough to eat peach cobbler for breakfast!:( :(

If I am wrong, I will offer a formal apology and eat two helpings of cobbler (that is, when I find some) in your honor! :)

Mary, Mary.....Get ready to offer up an apology:D

1. Southerners don't lie about cobbler

2. My wife is out of school for the summer and goes to the local farmers market almost every day.

3. During the summer she bakes a cobbler every afternoon (as long as the peaches are in)

You wound me deeply. I care for you and will not counter or unleash my two edged tongue. I am sorry that you don't have any cobbler for breakfast. I will pray for your well being.:D :p

What! No photographic proof of your consuming cobbler?

I guess I will take you at your word, even though I'm sure I can find one Southern that lies about eating cobbler . . . . Oh Gadget, where are you??:D

So here goes . . .
Tom, I am deeply sorry if I've offended your gentlemanly sensibilities regarding cobbler, and its proper place at the breakfast table. Please forgive me!

I will happily eat my double dose of cobbler at the first opportunity, and I will try to get a picture of my repentant act to post.;) :p

No wonder you're so cheerful!
