Does getting a new valve make other parts of the heart go bad or what?
.

The whole idea of the "new" valve is to make the heart healthier. There is no reason to think that your surgery will cause other problems.

Congrats for coming thru your surgery OK. Try not to saddle your brain with all the "what ifs". The truth is that you probably will live a normal "ho-hum" life like the rest of us:D

I had my two week check up today and was able to sit my doc down and just fire away, so I am much better this evening.

Echo was beautiful, pacemaker was turned down regarding voltage, and he was extremely pleased....went to pulmonary after cardio and all scans were beautiful as well.

I told them both congratulations, because I'd never do it again.
