Mary,
I understand ... no worries! I'll be waiting for your cellular yell out
. He he.
Danny,
That's OK ... I understand. But, no ... I won't be down that way in February 2008 ... and after this trip south, I probably won't be in the area in a few years ... I need to get to Boston as well as MN and out west again before coming back south!
Wise,
Wow ... sounds cool to me ... 2 Thanksgivings! He he. Sorry you won't be able to make it. Heh ... ironically, everyone from that dinner gathering near Lexington has backed out, except for Dino and his family, with whom I'll be staying.
A Platinum Metallic (silver) 2008 Buick LaCrosse (rental) will be my ride for the road trip. It has just over 5,910 miles and still has the temporary IL tag....
Since Enterprise didn't have a Dodge Charger for me, they let me have the LaCrosse at the same price....
A few people have asked why I "road trip" and meet people along the way. Maybe these 3 pictures will illustrate why....
From my October 2004 road trip west:

From my August 2005 road trip east:

And, perhaps, my favorite ... because of what ChevyTalk's Dennis (DeeGee) and I discovered over an interesting dinner conversation during my October 2006 road trip west:

Packing is almost done ... and I'm just about ready to go. I'll relax through Thanksgiving Day ... and then hit the road bright'n'early Friday morning.
BTW ... Lunch in Knoxville TN will be at the BridgeView Grill, 900 Neyland Dr
It's not too late to plan to meet up, but since I will have limited access (if any?) online while I'm away, the best way to reach me is my cell phone:
847 - 337 - 9897
I look forward to seeing some of you along my travels! HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
