Great idea but they won't be getting in until late Friday afternoon so the timing just doesn't work.

While it IS a bummer (no argument there), I do hope you have a wonderful visit with them ... even as we will certainly miss having you with us. I was looking forward to seeing you again, too.

I'm afraid to try and plan for lunch. I don't know with any certainity when we'll pass Nashville. It's better if we only plan on my yell-out! But I do have your cell phone #, so I might give you a cellular yell-out!

I sent you a PM just in case. I was holding off to see if they would cancel a meeting scheduled for that Monday because of the Thanksgiving Holidays the week before---but NOOOOO!! I wouldn't be able to leave until the afternoon on Monday. That would put me in Hot-lanta right in the middle of RUSH (READ CRASH) HOURS. And where that guy lives is on the North side of town going WITH the CRAZYS at that time. Something about 6 lanes of STOP---GO---STOP--CRAWL traffic just doesn't appeal to this old Country Boy.

Wish I could have seen his collection---oh yeah, and you to!!!

Maybe next trip----unless you talk yourself into an EARLY ROAD TRIP to Florida during February 2008 (NOTE: Daytona 500 is the week-end before the Reunion----I might just have to look into that).

Have a safe trip. I know you will enjoy getting together with everyone along the way.

Cort, as it turns out, Cindy and I will not be able to make it on Friday night. I apologize, but it is unavoidable.

I have an uncle in Southern Indiana (he's younger than me). He and his family were coming to spend Thanksgiving Day here in Frankfort. However his wife's family wants to come to their house and, of course, he wants his wife to see her family. So, he has asked us to come there on Friday to see him and have another Thanksgiving (just what I need ).

I am glad however that you have other good friends to enjoy time with. Take care and maybe another time Cindy and I will meet up with you on your travels.

That's OK ... I understand. But, no ... I won't be down that way in February 2008 ... and after this trip south, I probably won't be in the area in a few years ... I need to get to Boston as well as MN and out west again before coming back south!

Wow ... sounds cool to me ... 2 Thanksgivings! He he. Sorry you won't be able to make it. Heh ... ironically, everyone from that dinner gathering near Lexington has backed out, except for Dino and his family, with whom I'll be staying.



A Platinum Metallic (silver) 2008 Buick LaCrosse (rental) will be my ride for the road trip. It has just over 5,910 miles and still has the temporary IL tag....

Since Enterprise didn't have a Dodge Charger for me, they let me have the LaCrosse at the same price....

I had planned to, but the person in Huntsville wasn't able to meet up ... so, I didn't. I drove straight from Birmingham AL after dinner on Wednesday to my friends' home in Nashville TN. Too bad you didn't notice I had posted my phone# several times in this thread ... you could've called me!!!
