Rachel, the Syracuse course is not flat. The first and last 6 miles are very flat. The middle is rolling hills. That is the full, but the half is flat.

Yes I gave my NYC finishers medal to my cardio. I had a local tv station filmic. There is a still picture from the event hanging in his waiting room. I also gave some of my DisneyWorld medals to the people who made my valve, when I visited Edwards in Irvine.

NJ, yes, we usually field 3-4 teams. Just send me you email and I will get you added to our mailing list for the event. As we get closer, we get people to commit, and build our teams of 4.

Rachel/Kodi, yes this is my hometown race! In only it's second year, but last year was very well run, and had many positive comments. Remember, we are in me finger lakes, so many,many wineries are available for tastings!

Six years ago tonight, I was leaving the cath lab, going to my room awaiting surgery the next morning. Six years later, three marathons and a few half marathons....I can't complain!

The Empire State Marathon wil be out meet up for runners in 2013. It is in Syracuse, NY on October 20th. Last year in Baltimore, we had a big turnout, including a runner from India! The race has a full, half and four person relay, something for everyone. I hope everyone will consider joining...

I just finished the WDW Marathon 1/13, but have been fighting back problem ever since....at least it's not a heart issue!

MIke....NO!!!!!! Running with our cow valve is great! And age has nothing to do with it (just ask our friend Kodi). So, lace up those running shoes and put one foot in front of the other...!

Steve beat me to it! The beta blocker will limit your hr, and thus make everyting slow down or feel like crap when you try and push your heart. They serve a purpose, but only if you really need them, like CHF, but are not the drug of choice to just lower BP. So, find out exactly why you need...
