my surgery date has changed so it will be 4 weeks since my pre ops and i will have another blood test done only, on the day i am admitted which is now the 21 st oct my original pre ops were 22 september my original surgery date was 6th oct

when i met my surgeon i had had the cath and TOE and asked to wait till after summer hols for my surgery and he said that nothings gonna change much in that time . i have had my bloods and xray done tuesday this week and surgery is the 6th oct so yours should be ok ,

think repairs depend on the skill of the surgeon if you had a good experienced surgeon it should last a life time but evrything we make or do from a dvd player to a heart valve there will be a small percentage failure rate if you go here the surgery was shown live on uk tv for a mitral valve...
