thank you! he is definitely incredibly lucky to be alive and to have every prospect of remaining so. as a very old friend (we've known each other for twenty years) i am enormously relieved myself *v*

i told him about this site before he had surgery, although since his net access was very limited i don't think he's made it here yet. hopefully once he's a little further along in recovery he'll be able to come here and speak for himself.

they've taken the breathing tube out and a visitor has said that he is already very much himself. onwards....

I'm so glad to hear things are going well for your friend. His life will be altered but that doesn't mean he can't still enjoy life to it's fullest.
