I saw my surgeon for the first time the day after or two days after I was admitted for shortness of breath and other symptoms. Tests had already confirmed I needed AVR and repair of an ascending aneurysm. The cath. hadn't been done yet.Did any of you NOT meet your surgeon well in advance of your surgery? I won't meet my surgeon until the day before at the CC even though he has already reviewed my echo history.
Just wondering.
This all happened a year ago this very time. I saw Dr. Lester for the first time on July 31 or August 1st. He also saw me just before I was sent home on August 6th and after the cath results had come back. We were talking at first if I should go elsewhere for my surgery but I opted for Dr. Lester.
