"I Can't Get Next to You" by The Temptations
Thanks Cooker, the Temptations who are they?. only kidding but that made me feel like i'm getting old:eek:

Okay, mine in Nov '41 was "Piano Concerto in B Flat." While I am certain that is a fine piece of music, I tend more to the pop and country. Just missed Bing Crosby's "White Christmas" by a year. :)

My middle name is Rose and I am two years younger than my sister. I always got her hand me downs. If my grandmother bought us matching outfits, I wore mine until I outgrew it and then moved into hers. It seems like I wore hte same dress for 4 years! I was so glad when I got taller than her in about 8th grade!

So, my song is an oldie, recorded by Fannie Brice in 1921 and Barbra Streisand in 1965. I was 3 for most of 1965, so don't remember it, but I came across it when I was in high school when Kathy Sullivan sang it in 1978.

That was #1 when I was born!?(1955)Can't decide on the other... Maybe: Catch the Wind by Donovan, Every Night by McCartney, Reason For Waiting by Jethro Tull, Here Comes the Sun by the Beatles, or is it Get Together by Jesse C. Young and the Youngbloods.:D Brian Mc

Are you lonesome tonight???

Are you lonesome tonight???

Hummm...my theme song? Well, I can think of two. First, I might choose "Bette Davis Eyes" by Kim Carnes. I also like "Hot Stuff" by Donna Summer. Albert thought Elvis Presley's song "Hard-Headed Woman" might be a good song for me.

My theme song I can best relate to is: "Coat of many Colors" by Dolly Parten -- being a family of seven, & the fact that we were quite poor, my mom, God Rest her soul, would make most of our school clothes. They were not the stylish of clothes, & sometimes we'd suffer the ridicule of classmates. Everytime I hear that song, it reminds me of my momma's loving hands hard at work! :) :(

May 19, 1955 Cherry Pink and Apple Blossom White" by Perez Prado Never heard of it; as to theme song, I will have to think on that one for a while but "BrownEyed Girl" by Van Morrison comes to mind ....

"Auf Wiederseh'n Sweetheart" by Vera Lynn, August of '52. So little interest in it, that iTunes wouldn't even preview it unless I bought it.

But, looking at Gina's (LUV my Birman's) list, I think how incredibly fortunate and great it was for me to be hearing those tunes brand new when they came out. It was an incredible time in music, and an intense time to grow up.

Best wishes,

#1 and #2 on Gina's list are still two of my favorites--forty years later! (groan!)
