Hi Bill,

Hmmm... my guess for the pool is 2.4 after your next test based on the current 2.5 dosage for the weekend.

Rob

I'll take 1.7

I'm thinking your low today and will continue to fall through Sunday then you'll start seeing the 2.5 doses showing. It's hard to guess, but I'll certainly guess that you'll be on the low side.

They shouldn't of stopped the aspirin. It works differently then Coumadin does anyhow. I would think it to be a non issue.

I'm leaving for the blood draw station in 15 minutes. I should know the results by 4:00 this afternoon. I ate a small amount of greens each day over the weekend (small salad), and haven't had any wine since Friday night. I'm thinking I'm going to be under 2.0, but we'll see.

there's alot riding on this, boyo

We give! What was your inr yesterday???

Sorry, everyone!

Had a busy evening and couldn't get to the computer.

Rob wins - my INR was 2.4. A bit on the low end of the range but the surgeon says it's fine for now and is keeping me at 2.5 mg daily. Good news! I don't have to get poked again until next Monday.

So Rob- What are you going to do with all of your winnings?

Hurray, hurray, good for you, Bill!

Mine's up too -- 2.8 based on today's blood draw. First time it's been over 2.0 (they want me somewhere between 2.0 and 3.0).

5 mg every day since the last test (last Thursday) got me there. Now they want me continue on 5 mg. every day and see what happens. At least I don't have to test until next Tuesday. Once a week instead of twice! Progress! But I will be glad when my three months with coumadin are up.

Hi Bill,

Wooo Hooooo !!!!!!

See managing your INR on a home testing unit sure helps take the guess work out of managing your INR ! Sure glad you didn't eat too much of those green veggies to through me off.. hahaha!

I think I will invest my winnings in the lottery and see if I can be as lucky as I was guessing your INR!

Hope you are getting back on track and begin to get your INR back in a compfort zone and give you some peace of mind.

Rob

Rob,

How much will you charge to take over as my anticoagulant therapy manager?

:p

Too much..too soon

Too much..too soon

With 2,362 posts on valvereplacement.com....I still think you are doing too much..too soon..19 days out of surgery..walking too much:eek: ..You need to relax and smell the roses..off that deck....Your INR will never be in range for a few months.. if you do not take it easy. Your body has been thru a lot of stress. Walking so much will throw it off. Mine was 3.2 a month ago and 2.5 yesterday.. Just back to walking a mile a day..Mine has been in range for 2 years. With NO dosage change....and I eat, drink and be merry everyday now...:D But gave myself a good 6 months to heal....Bonnie
