As others have already said, time of the day doesn't matter. I try to take mine about the same time of the day. I shoot for 4 PM, for I don't have any other medication at that time. So far in the last 'almost' 18 years, haven't missed a day.... thanks to my wife. ;)

Oh boy, the cluelessness is strong in this one.

Doing things the way they are being done know will never stablize you. They'll never be able to tell what the correct dose is, when they do hit the desired range.

Well, remember that this was my first visit, I was overdue for testing, and I think she was trying to help make things easier for me. I'm still pretty ignorant about what's going on (I'm working on becoming fluent in warfarinese), and don't know enough yet to ask the right questions. But between her advice (which was actually helpful for the moment; I'm still getting used to new drugs, the absence of old drugs, and I still eat very little because of my "TBP"--Taste Bud Problem). I'll be scoping the clinic out over my next visits, and discussing it with my surgeon next week when I talk to him about home monitoring (he was the one who brought it up--I didn't even have to ask!).

I'm going to spend some time today going over the stickies and scooting around the web elsewhere. Is there a thread or post I should pay special attention to, or a really good online resource?

PS: My assignment for today is to get through the first couple of programs of the Discovery CME on anticoagulation. Thank enormously for this, Catwoman.

I take mine around 4:00. It's right after I get home from work so easy to remember. I'll repeat what others have said: it doesn't matter when you take it - just be consistent.

Cheers,
Michelle

Remember the force Big Owl, Remember the force. The force is strong with Ross. :p Sorry I reverted back to my Star wars days there for a minute.

Thanks; it's good of you and Ross both to keep me on track. And thanks for turning us back to the topic (although now it seems a bit moot).
