thanks all

well I have to say how glad i was to have had the information I did before my surgery..I think one of the toughest moments for me was waking with the breathing tube in:eek: not a good experience for me lol..then they finally said they were going to take it out..they had left it in for awhile cause my right lung collapsed,,but right before the respitory therapist took it out he had to suction it out well i thought it was all over..but they pulled it out..that was the scariest moment for me..the sweating has been really bad and I had remembered how everyone said food did not taste good, that was an understatement lol.even my adored coke and coffee has no flavor yet. I am tired yes but cannot yet find that spot or position that affords me sleep, breathing was pretty hard since my lung collapsed and they could not get an arterial line to stay in so they had to keep sticking me for aterial blood gases i finally told them no more:mad: it was too painful and there arent many spots on my arms that arent bruised up. well all for now
going to try to sleep for awhile

Glad your home Donna; hang in there. Each day that passes is one step closer to getting back to normal.

:) :) :) :)

So glad to hear you are back home Donna. There is no place like home & I'm sure you will start feeling much better soon. Take it easy & try to rest as much as you can. Take care! :)

My son's lung collapsed after his surgery, very scary time. Glad to see that you are doing well now, get lots of rest and take care of yourself.

It's great to hear that you're home with no major bumps! I was very tired my first few days home, partly catching up on sleep and partly the difference in size between the hospital room and my house. Talking to visitors and on the phone was also very tiring. Rest and follow all the good advice and you'll be amazed how soon you feel stronger.

Best wishes.

Hi Donna,
