Hi,
Am new on here and see that you have a mechanical valve, am in the process of deciding on my first VR and would love to hear your imput on how you are making out with the mechanical/warfin. I too need to have the ascending aorta fixed - how did it all go?

So when in November is your surgery? Our goat lady will mark it on the calendar.
I have a mechanical valve and on warfarin. I'm doing just fine. It takes a little while for your body to adjust to the drug, but we're all here to guide you and help you with your questions.

Many here have mechanical valves and are on warfarin, which is not as bad as its reputation!
