I just spent 3 hours typing up my story and then discovered it had logged me out

the whole thing is lost. I will have to re-type at some point.

Try writing your story first in Word then copy and paste to here. I believe if your not active on the forms (like responding to threads) you have about 20 -30 minutes before you are "timed-out" (kicked-off) here on the forums.

Ah, yes. I learned the hard way to CTRL + C as I go, or make a separate document. Same for Private Messages, FYI.

I'm so sorry that happened to you. I'm so eager to read your story. I hope you have the strength (and will) to rewrite at least most of it.
I had no idea we get timed out after 20 minutes if no activity. Same thing that happened to you could definitely have happened to me and probably others.

Now I either type things on a separate email and then copy and paste it back here,
or I try to remember to copy and paste as I go along during a lengthy response.
