Wow - what a picture - I just got home Friday night but computer didn't make it home til this afternoon (it went off to get its clock cleaned) so this is my first look. I thought maybe it was going to be the picture where I had my head on Bonnie's chest. Actually, in this one, we had just got out of the pool and put our clothes back on (well, the top part, anyhow).

When I arrived, Bonnie had a beautiful sack filled with goodies - purple flowers, fresh-ground grits, stewed pears, pickled peaches, a can of possum from her personal special stash that's to die for, and a to do list that starts out with "I'm fixin to...."

We had the best time. Couldn't stop gigglin. Y'all just gotta ride with Bonnie up those roads through the mountain (it's sorta like the roller coaster). But we got back all in one piece. It was so very special to finally meet my VR buddy - y'all just hafta do it if you ever get the chance. It's like meeting someone you have always known, because you do get to know each other here in VR so nothing is strange at all.

She took me to see bears, but I begged off looking at the snakes. The bears were sleeping so we didn't bother them but snakes never sleep so I just couldn't do that one.

We finished off the afternoon with ice cream - The day can't be topped.

And in case you're wondrin, Bonnie is exactly the same in person as she is right here in VR. Fun and so gracious.

We have to do it again and anybody that wants to join, come on in. We'll show you the pool.

speedos - Bonnie, didn't we lose them just before we got in the pool. I can't quite remember that part. Must've been what we had for lunch or from the bottle in the brown bag we had that made me forget. :p

*surveys the room with his eyes*

I believe I can speak for everyone who attended last year's Chicago VR Reunion when I write:

This is _exactly_ how we all felt when we first met each other. I saw people hugging as if they'd known each other for years...on the first meeting. I witnessed people talking and laughing and discussing issues...as if they were picking up where they left off from a previous gathering. It, simply, was awesome.

I'm so glad you 2 got to meet....I hope to be able to meet more of my VR family sometime in the future.

PS...Bonnie, I hear your Atlanta Braves have taken over first place in the NLE. Meanwhile, my Bums (er, Cubs) have suddently forgotten how to play the game of baseball and find themselves 9 games out of first place. It appears that Gram's magical powers up there (Gram died October 2002) have come to an end :(. 2003 was great...but 2004 is beginning to look a lot like 1985 (after a great '84), 1990 (after a great '89) and 1999 (after a great '98). Ah, well. Yeah, I know we still have a chance at the Wild Card...but, well...lol. Guess we'll see....

Great Picture!!!

Great Picture!!!

Hi Hensy, Granbonny,
What a wonderful picture, and moreover, what a great day to have the pic taken. Were you too plotting something, or were you trying to see who could get to the middle of the swing the fastest? LOL My mother and I are both TERRIFIED OF HEIGHTS, and we were in this position in the back of my father's blazer when we climed Mount Washington...You would have laughed...we couldn't get to the middle and duck our heads fast enough...I am really thrilled that you gals got to hook up...Harrybaby666 :D :D :D

First thing I thought of when I saw the picture of these two together was Thelma and Louise. :D

Nice picture of you gals, Bonnie and Ann!

Yikes, Thelma and Louise..

Yikes, Thelma and Louise..

I love the porch, the plantation shutters, the tall pine trees and the two gorgeous blonds a-rockin' in the rocker!
