Walking out free.

Walking out free.

I watched it live on CNN and was happy with the final result.

I'm guessing that most of us in the US weren't particularly happy with the final results, but they weren't shocking, considering his celebrity status. We've seen MJ's questionable behavior for years. He settled one civil suit and didn't change his behavior. If he doesn't move out of the country, it's my guess this won't be his last time in court.

I'd have to agree with your entire statement Karlynn.

Isn't it amazing what money can do? O.J. Simpson, Richard Blake (is it Richard?) and now Michael Jackson. I just can't believe it. I can't say I was very happy with the verdict, but I sincerely believe what goes around comes around. They will be judged in the end.

hey, he's wearing lip liner!

He'll leave the country, is my guess. I heard a reporter who was in the courtroom talking about one of the jurors nearly drooling when she looked at him. It was also stated by this reporter that celebrities get off moreso than average (us) defendants. He is one strange bird, don't you think. What are we thinking when these sorts are our heroes?????

I feel bad for the guy, but that's no excuse for what he does. I would have loved to see him go to a "pound you in the a$$" prision to send a message to all these freaks in Hollywood. Even though he would have been in a special part of the prision, I don't think he would have lasted without turning all girlie on us, and crying for his Mommy and all.

It's sad to think, that back in the 80's, he was fairly normal, and now he is a freak.

And what's up with Janet? Did she go to the same plastic surgeon that MJ did? Did anyone see her nose yesterday?

I'm sorry but that is strike two. Something is obviously going on that should not be. Common sense says so, but common sense doesn't lock people up. I do not know what has happened to him, but he is certainly a freak. He would not last in my neighborhood more then a few minutes if he pulled that crap here.

Agree... if he pulled that stuff on my kids, he wouldn't be facing a jurry, I'd be facing a life sentece for murder.

Normally, I don't get involved in these issues, but....

Normally, I don't get involved in these issues, but....

in this case, I have to. Having personal issues along these lines, I feel that if he HAD NOT molested that kid back in 1993, he would NOT have paid the kid off and stood adamant against it as he did with this trial. It is a horrible thing for kids to go through and it does traumatize them, sometimes for life, and it just makes me downright angry and disgusted that this whole scenario goes on daily and by his getting acquitted, it gives the message that it's ok to do this especially if you have the bucks to 1. pay people off and 2. hire good lawyers who will emancipate you. There, I will get off of my soapbox now..     Harrybaby

If you get off your soapbox, I'll take a turn standing on it...agree with you Harry.

What do you mean TURNING all girlie on us? I think he already looks pretty girlie. He looks more like a girl that a grown man. But most of all like a creature from some sick horror movie.

As the grandmother of 9 I was sickened by the verdict. No-one who looks that freaky is normal. But, I was also sickened that anyone ever let their children be around him and actually let them spend the night with him. I don't think the verdict will keep him from doing it again.

How Must Martha Stewart feel

How Must Martha Stewart feel

Did you hear this little blip....

"Michael Jackson, not guilty; OJ, Not Guilty; PJ Combs, Not Guilty; Robert Blake, not guilty; Winona Ryder , not guilty; etc... not guilty; Martha Stewart, GUILTY..... how must Martha Stewart feel now?"

Think about that for a moment. I don't condone what Martha did, but she didn't hurt, harm, steal (well.. that's kinda grey), kill, etc anyone and she is the only one who serverd time. What's this country coming to?

I thought last night to the old silent screen star that was persecuted in the 20's because he had sex with an underage girl in San Francisco - can't remember his name. But, same situation, no witnesses, her word against his and he went down big time-jail and career ruined. (Fatty something or other...)

Roscoe "Fatty" Arbuckle is who you are thinking of.

I think it is important to remember that this proves our system works. I say that because some of the jurors FELT he was guilty yet the case was not proven beyond a reasonable doubt. I have mixed feelings about the whole case that I won't get into but I will say I am happy that, considering the evidence, the verdict was not guilty. We cannot convict someone because we THINK he is guilty, in this country it still needs to be proven. A great many people who were at the trial said the prosecution witnesses were not believeable. The prosecutor blew it, he should have put together a stronger case.

For the record, Winona Ryder was found guilty, she just did not have to serve time. Since it was her "first offense" (meaning the first time she was caught by someone she couldn't pay off), she did community service work. Also, Martha Stewart is a celebrity who was found guilty. Maybe not a Hollywood celebrity but still a multi-millionaire who did not beat the system.

I still think our system works. There are a few exceptions which, of course, the media plays to extreme.

I hope MJ just moves to Tahiti or somewhere like that and leaves our children alone.
