Cort -- thanks for sharing your story with me. What happened to you is EXACTLY my nightmare. ... ...is it medically necessary to lie flat in recovery or can you arrange before hand to be more sitting up? I know this REALLY sounds trivial now but the thought of being flat on my back AND being on the tube is just too much! Then to have the problems you had? No way!!! Hypnosis here I come...

See...now I'm not so sure posting was such a great idea here...lol. At any rate, yes, definitely talk with your surgeons about your fears/apprehensions. As to your question about sitting up, I don't see why that can't be arranged. Just be sure to discuss it with your surgeon .

As for the problems I had....yes, at the moment they were very frightening...to the point where I thought I was a goner. But, I did my best to remain calm (not an easy thing to do), but it is something that I've been able to teach myself over the last few years. I can't explain it, but I'm finally able to literally _tell_ myself to calm down when I notice that I'm panicking.

I would love to meet you when you're in Dallas but that weekend my gallery is having a convention in San Antonio. We're expanding in Mexico and that weekend is our launch. I'll be leaving early on the 21st and coming home late on the 24th. I'll sure take a raincheck and see you the next time your in Big D.

And people wonder why I post my road trips . LOL! Yes, that would be cool to meet you, but I certainly understand about the convention...so no worries . As for next time I'm in the Big D...heh...it's taken a good 10 years or so to get back this time.....so don't hold your breath .

I had noticed that ShezaG and catwoman (Marsha) are in that same area, but I also know they plan to be at the VR Reunion .
