My first surgery was emergent and I was the 'bumper' at Mass General.
I felt bad to know someone was sent home but was grateful, they gave me the emergency surgery I badly needed. Thank you to those who have endured the added stress on behalf of those of us who really couldn't wait.
My second surgery, I was on the other side of the fence so to speak and stressed some that I would be the 'bumpee' this time. Thankfully, that did not happen.
