Be fun to find out the different weather that our members are having for Xmas. Rainy here in Georgia...:p Bonnie

We had a horrid storm this morning, accompanied by tornado warnings. It has moved east and our sun has just come out. Nice and warm. So far - stay tuned. This is Florida and weather changes often. Right, Bill?

Ohio is under a winter storm watch. 2 to 4 inches possibly more, depending on what track the storm takes. Right now, it's just cold and grey.

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas

We haven't had more than a light dusting of snow in our city for ten years -- but we have it today, and a fairly heavy wet snow. It is beautifull outside. We have three grandkids, ages 2, 3 & 5, with us for Christmas, and they are having a ball with the snow. Their dogs, a hugh Lab "puppy" (from Phoenix) and the two dacshunds (sp?)(From Ft. Worth) are also loving it. However the snow is melting, but I'm sure the Snowman will last through Christmas Day.
Merry Christmas to all,
Don

Seattle - Brilliant sunshine and blue skies yesterday. Today, cold, grey, and starting to sprinkle. Rain for the next several days. Gee, sounds like any other day in Seattle, LOL

We won't get snow till mid/late January.

Hi Everyone!
It snowed here in VA (Shenandoah Valley) today. It didn't lay though. It sure looked pretty coming down. We are supposed to get rain and sleet later on. A lot of family is in PA (Central and Eastern PA) and they are supposed to get snow and some sleet. Last I heard they are to get anywhere from 3 to 6 inches. Happy Holidays to everyone!

Take Care!
Gail

Chi-town is nothing but cold and grey. No snow forcasted, bummer.

75 degrees and cloudy with 90% humidity - had to turn the A/C back on this afternoon. No white Christmas here.

The mail carrier is wearing shorts today. Yesterday it rained cats and dogs all day. The forcast is rain for Christmas. Today it's 63 degrees in Tempe, Arizona (Phoenix Metro Area). Love Arizona but miss having a white Christmas. Happy holidays to all.

Indy is grey and 32 degrees. Supposed to get 5-6 inches of snow in central Indiana tonight. Christmas day: overcast and 30.
Wishing I was in a warmer place. I think I am ready for Santa Claus in surfing shorts and sunglasses.

Merry Merry

No snow here.........

No snow here.........

In fact it's quite warm tonight in Ireland for this time of year. Certainly no white Christmas for us, not like in the good old days before global warming.

Strange thing is that although it's pitch dark and the temperature is mid 40's now, the birds are singing at 2.30am. I think they're confused. Hey Ross - can you explain this?

hey Billie, can you explain Ross?

Here,(N.H.) its storm warning and predicting 1 to 1 1/2 ft. of snow.

This is supposed to be the most snow on a Christmas day ever in this area.
A white Christmas INDEED!

Sorry Billy and Mamsram, I have no explainations, not even for myself. There is one who can explain, all though I have not had the grace to meet him yet. If I should in the near future, I will ask. I think he's keeping me around to entertain and help all of you. I'm not good for much else, so that's my assessment of the situation anyway. ;)

I now have about 3 inches of fluffy white stuff covering the ground. It is peacefully quiet outside, with a few birds singing. The trees and everything are drapped in the snow. It's most befitting for the holiday. We got our White Christmas!

I woke up this morning (Christmas Day) about 5:00am and low and behold! There was a couple of inches of snow on the ground in our area!

SURPRISE Dave, the weathermen lied to us again here in the Chi Town area! Isn't that nice for a change? We have SNOW!

Where I live we were on the tail end, I believe south of the city had a lot more! At least we can say we had a White Christmas! It looks so peaceful and beautiful! The birds were singing at 5:00am also. I think they are happy too!

HAve a wonderful Christmas Day everyone! Don't eat or drink too much!:D

God Bless!

white christmas

white christmas

The record books say this is the Whitest Christmas we've ever had in Springfield MO. Our normal probability of a white Christmas is 7%. It started about 1:00 pm Monday and lasted about 30 hours.
We have 12 inches on the ground, with some areas up to 14 or 15 in. It is beautiful out here in the country with the native
cedars draped in the heavy wet snow. The sun is shining today and the birds are sure enjoying the feeders. Aren't the cardinals beautiful against the snow?

God is good. Jerry is healthy, and all our family was here last night for good food and gifts. Again, God is good!

Snowed in Georgia

Snowed in Georgia

Took my dog and granddog out at 8 a.m. and lo and behold..snow on the back of daughter's car. We just drove home to our Mountain in North Ga. and light snow all over on ground in woods where sun has not hit...but Wind is severe. Hate to be on ski slope today. Merry Xmas All. Bonnie

I did the first pass with the snowblower. It's an oldie (30 or more years) and a goodie, but bless its little heart, the gear box freezes up about 3/4 of the way through the job. Maybe it needs oil. What say you mechanics out there??

I know, I know, why don't you just look. I guess I'll have to do that. If it doesn't need oil, can I wrap it in something to keep it from freezing?

Right now we have about 10 inches on the ground. It's a good thing it's cold, because that amount of wet snow is hard to plow. The snow is coming down very hard, so we'll probably get near the 20 inches they predict.

Great, tomorrow, Joe and I have to go out very early and get his protime.

The plow hasn't gone around yet. When it waits like that, it leaves a mountain of heavy snow at the end of the driveway.

It's beautiful out there now with everything covered. People are skiing and snowshoeing down the road, there was also the ***** kid who was towing another one on a snow board behind a truck, dangerous beyond words. My dog is too short for the snow.
