After being on a kidney transplant list for 3 years, a co-worker has just gotten THE phone call!!!!!!!!!!! There's a kidney with Nida's name on it!

Her immediate co-workers immediately formed a prayer circle and did a laying-on of the hands for a successful surgery.

Another co-worker is bringing her car around to the front entrance and they're dashing to the hospital.

Please keep Nida in your prayers. She needs this kidney so very badly. She has considered going back to her native Philippines for the surgery so a relative could donate the organ, but staying here makes more sense.

Thank you very very much!!!!

I got chills reading this post, imagining what it will be like to get that phone call. My thoughts are with her.

Thanks to all.

There were many teary-eyed employees as Nida walked out the door.

Nida has had dialysis several times a week for a number of years. I've seen her energy level gradually decline, and she's had problems with the line left in for dialysis.

We'll be on pins and needles until the surgery is over.

May the Lord guide the hands of the surgeon doing Nida's transplant. May the Lord welcome into heaven the person who donated the kidney. I pray that Nida's surgery will restore her health and well being.

May she receive a kidney that pinks up and produces urine immediately! Prayers to her and all involved.

Nida will also be in my prayers.
A friend's daughter got that long awaited "phone call". Emotions run high with excitement and worry.
I wish all who are involved the very best.

A big disappointment: Nida did NOT get one of the two kidneys available. However, she is No. 1 on the list for the next one.

She is very disappointed (and so are her co-workers, for her).

Please keep her in your prayers that a kidney will be available soon.

For those of you who are willing and capable of doing so, please sign up as an organ donor. I did years ago (for whatever organs would be usable). I have met several families whose loved ones were organ donors, and they take great pride that their loved one was able to help others after they passed away.
