Again, I want to thank each and every one of you for these special wishes. I stood up in church this morning and gave my "witness" about this miracle -- which to me is what all of these surgeries are -- and had a lot of good discussion as a result.

Pamela, we need to come up with an appropriate term for re-oppers' anniversaries. They certainly deserve one.

Gadget/Bubba, it is an honor to have a valversary so close to yours, fellow Son of the South, suh! :) As for my screen name, I was originally BionicBob -- I actually joined a few months before surgery. But in a fit of post-op depression, for some reason that I cannot even remember now (pumphead :D ), I quit vr.com. But Ross came to my rescue and let me have a new identity with that "H" name. And then we were having fun with the "Superbob" thing on Cooker's weigh-in Throw-Down, so Ross, at my request, magically changed my screen name to Superbob recently.

I guess two morals to take out of all that: (1) For those of you heading into surgery or recently through surgery, know that some degree of depression is not uncommon -- but it will pass, you will get through it (ask for help if you need it, though), and (2) Ross is The Man hereabouts. :D

Thanks again, all you kind friends!

How good is the food at Outback?

We've had one here for about 7 years now and I've yet to set foot in the place.

It's my favorite chain restaurant. Love the prime rib. Usually a nice fresh salad with a tangy tomato dressing I like. Green beans are fresh, fixed nice -- not the canned variety. Nice selection of beers -- I like Amstel light and they have it. Of course, Foster's too. Their desserts are huge (like "chocolate thunder from down under") but chock full of sugar, and I can't eat them except rarely. I've always had good service at Outback's too, in different areas.
