He does need a transplant Debora...

Hi Harry! I always thought your dad would need a heart transplant and I'm happy to hear that it's not the case anymore. Of course I'll keep him in my thoughts and prayers! Now, how's your health? Hope to see you on chat this evening though!
Take care!!
Débora

But the doctors have told him that because of his age and his other illnesses (Diabetes) that they could only put him on the "B" list at best, and then his current Cardiologist has told him that there is "NO WAY" that they will give him a heart transplant, as they feel that he wouldn't survive it for very long, so they are going to keep a close eye on this heart, and do their best to keep him from having a heart attack and basically, they have told him to get his affairs in order and that he is pretty much living out his last days....Harrybaby:eek:

Will be thinking of your Daddy, Harry..and you, too, Marguerite..tomorrow.:) Bonnie

Harry, you already know that your dad will be in my prayers and you too. Your mom is lucky to have you there for support.

Marguerite, prayers going up for you too.

Harry, thoughts and prayers being sent your way. Sorry to hear of your father's condition. I hope for the very best for him.

Marguerite, praying for all the best for you.

Thank You All for your prayers and support!!!

Thank You All for your prayers and support!!!

I just got word that they got my father right in for his heart catheterization this afternoon and he got out about an hour ago, and they don't have to do stents or angioplasty or OHS....BUT....the doctors have told my mother that his heart is EXTREMELY weak and they are going to adjust his medication(s) to help his heart pump better-They said that it's the Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy, which I also have that is weakening the heart. I just wanted to keep yall posted and say thank you thank you and thank you for all your prayers and support!!! Harrybaby:D :D :D :D

Well, that's quasi-good news.........

Well, that's quasi-good news.........

at least about the additional procedure part, but I'm sorry to hear that your father's heart is so weak. I do hope the medications help. We will keep him in our prayers. You, too, my dear, that your heart stabilizes............many hugs. Janet

Harry-

It's always good news to hear that they feel they can handle your dad's heart issues medically rather than surgically. You both will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Prayers still going out to you. I hope your father improves with the meds and all is well.

Thats a bit of good news , I hope and pray that the adjusting of meds gives his heart a boost and that he improves...I shall keep you all in my prayers

Harry...so good to hear that your Dad won't have to go through the trauma of surgery. Hopefully the change in medication will make him more comfortable. Take Care.

Hi Harry! It sounds like they have a good plan for your dad. The less invasion, the better, I would think! The drug therapy keeps getting better and better and I hope this will make him more comfortable.

Richard just zapped into my mind about 7 am Pacific when we were banking a corner on the freeway. It was genuinely nice to have that connection! Very calming for me.

As for me, I'm fine, arteries are clear......good to go. I can't believe how many mentions I received in your thread. :) Thanks to everyone for the care and concern.

The experience wasn't that bad. I just got 2 valiums an hour before to keep my muscles relaxed since I'd be clamped afterwards, not sutured and would have to lie still for 6 hours. I was hearing and feeling most of it. They were gentle with me!! Once is enough, though.

Continued best wishes for your dad. Please keep us updated on his condition.

We should have started a separate thread for you Marguerite!...but I'm sure Harry won't mind sharing :p

Great to hear that your arteries are clear :D One less thing to worry about. Hope all goes well for you on the valve front. Keep us posted.
