I had a great day yesterday. Was feeling really good with lots of energy. Then things went down. Woke up a little after mid-night and it was a mad dash to the bathroom. This went on for the next couple of hours. I normally don't vomit, but this thing knocked me for a loop. Had to keep a small trash can by the bed in case I couldn't make it to the bathroom in time. Was supposed to start cardiac rehab today, but I had to reschedule that for next Tuesday.
Called the cardio today if Pepto or anything like that was ok to take since I'm on Warfarin, and they advised against it. Said to take tylenol for the low-grade fever and headache. Had me lower my Warfarin dose for today since I may not have a normal appetite and they are still trying to find that happy medium for me (last INR was high at 4.1). Also, have had an elevated pulse since this morning, but it's probably from my body going haywire last night and today.
Hopefully I can kick this thing in a day. I have another follow-up with my surgeon tomorrow and I don't want to have to cancel it. Stomach issues in a 1.5 hr car ride would not be good. Also, I don't want this to spread to the rest of the family.
Like I said, I was feeling great up til this point, and then life kicks me in the arse. Oh well, to quote the movie "The life of Brian", "always look on the bright side of life..."
